Claire wanted to reassure you about a few things:
I am in fact a TV Producer (you can see some of my work on BBC 1 on Tuesday at 8pm on Waterloo Road or on the iplayer) I'm freelance so at the moment I work for Strong as a Script Exec doing research. The company was created by James Strong. He directed Mr Bates vs Post Office for ITV.
You have found my CP post on my Instagram. I don't so much keep it quiet as I don't have too many opportunities to discuss it. I guess maybe some of you can relate to that. You might also find a post of me talking to the CEO of ITV about disability access and representation if you look for it.
This is the kind of work I'm really passionate about which is why I've started this project.
My apologies for attempting to create a profile. I couldn't see the best email to contact in order to place my post or get advice on posting. As a PWD with a genuine interest in meeting DEVS, I felt I did meet your criteria. I knew the posts were moderated and was hoping the moderator would reach out in order to advise if it was ok to post my message.
I can understand some of your reluctance to interact with me in particular due to previous encounters. Sadly, I only have the likes of the BBC documentary to base my research. The reason I haven't given too much information on my project is not to hide anything. The idea is still very much being developed which is why I was looking for some help to develop it. As is pointed out, I am making a drama so one way or another it will be dramatic but the writers I'm working with (a mix of PWD's and not) would rather it was based in reality than fiction. If you feel projects you've created yourselves would give me a better grounding than talking to me directly, please feel free to send me links to those. I just want to listen to anything you have to say in the way you feel happy to tell me so if you would rather post responses on here more openly too then that's also fine with me.
