Ah, I've been up that ways quite a few times, though I'm not much of a beach person. ...Western Massachusetts is where it's all at. Western is OK. I have friends in North Adams.

Boston's kind of a scaled down version of NYC. The cape is too crowded in the summer for me. Too much traffic until Labor Day. The beaches of the north shore right up into New Hampshire are better, although the water's colder. Rye, New Hampshire has awesome rocky beaches and very little crowds. Very typical New England. Try it someday. or for a little warmer water, you could move it down to rhode island after all, we are the ocean state The main problem with Rhode Island is it's in Rhode Island. ;D Just kidding.
