Damn, Claire!!! Even if somebody's calling you out and all you still feel guilty. You're such a nice person...

He sent me a message saying he was taking a break.
He's been "advertising" his new devotee forum on all the Yahoo groups.

ripped one of those private conversations out of the sanctum of the area Well, perhaps a bit of an overstatement? I mean, it's viewable to anyone, even non-registered guests, right?

ripped one of those private conversations out of the sanctum of the area Well, perhaps a bit of an overstatement? I mean, it's viewable to anyone, even non-registered guests, right? Yes, perhaps a little bit 'intense' of a description, but still, the 'sign' is clearly marked 'Devs Only'...and there was a good deal of discussion on the intent of that section, so if you've been told to 'Keep Out', and you go in anyway...it can be a little aggravating, and I can understand that sentiment of the Devs.

I guess I must view the Devs Only section a bit differently than some. Even though it is a "Dev" section, what is posted is not like a conversation with a girlfriend over a cup of coffee. It just isn't. It is a public BB and I am sure there are many readers/lurkers who don't even have the slightest idea of the history of that section. There find the site, click on and read. I am fully aware of this when I post.
But I have also thought of that section as a place where the devs shared a bit more of their feelings rather than just facts. A place where girls could be girly-girls and talk about the stuff that a lot of guys don't like ... feelings, emotions, guilt etc. (I don't mean to leave out the gay devs- I am sure you feel those things as well). The other sections are for facts and questions... this one for feelings and emotions.
And even though it is a dev place, where conversations may be a bit more personal - there are many flies on the walls.
If I really want something to be personal or private there is the "messages" section and of course there is such a thing as email.
Just my .02 which is worth absolutely nothing in this economy.

Faith is right on in that respect.
I was going to say before that I'm sure the real personal discussions, the true growth and exposure, these days goes on off the board.
