I am finishing up with school. I hope to have two degrees in Computer Science & Management. However, I started a non-profit two years ago, and I think I would rather spend the rest of my life traveling and helping people rather than writing code in some stuffy office.
For awhile I considered going to law school, but I am sick of school.
What do you do for a living?

I work in an engineering office and it's anything but stuffy! My workplace is fantastic. Up until January I was the only girl, I do all the paperwork. The guys are almost all young graduates and they are abnormally brilliant. I love supporting them as they do amazing things with computers and other bits of electronics.
I've been taking some paralegal classes, but I started that before I worked here and I've lost a lot of motivation because I love my job and I plan to stay here indefinitely.
It's nice not to have all the pressure on my writing to make a living, I tried that for a couple of years and it was unbearably stressful!

I work in a factory. We make food items. One line fills bottles with chocolate syrup for milk; sundae toppings; pancake syrup; soya sauces, and melasses. 'Under the platform' they do soya sauces, sundae toppings, jams, fruit purees and garnitures aka pie fillings. We also fill boxes of tapioca, cocoa, and sprinkles that you put on the icing for cakes. We also have a line that puts pie fillings in small 'sachets'. We had to get a new machine because we started to make stuff for Tim Hortons and they are very picky. So if you have a Tim Hortons Smoothy, think of me I do whatever the boss tells me to. My main job is putting cans in a box at a breakneck speed. No one else can keep up with me. I'm proud of how fast I can put the cans in the box and I'm very jealous of my station, to the point of being paranoid that someone is going to take my place. There is someone in my place right now. But my friend has assured me (they know how I am about that) that it still is my place when I return and the gal who is there doesn't like it so much. It's too hot and fast.

I work from home in my office as a counselor for disabled people. It is mostly newly injured or recently diagnosed clients that want to talk about acceptance, relationships with their family, discussing adapted techniques and independence. I also work with some clients from an employment perspective, updating CV profiles and making calls to set up interviews between my client and hiring workplaces. It keeps me very busy and I love it.

I work with kids with autism. I am mostly in a supervisory role, training the staff to do the 1:1 work and designing the programming that teaches them things like how to communicate, interact with other kids and behave appropriately. I also consult with parents and train them to carry over the teaching at home. I love the work because every kid and family is different and has different strengths and challenges to overcome.

In the fall I'll be a grad student at Ohio State, studying biochemistry. So I'll basically be working for the university as a researcher.

My non-profit is truly unique We help former 80’s hair band members that are unemployed by paying their tuition to professional wrestling school. It is highly rewarding. The smile on their faces would warm anyone’s heart. If you would like to sponsor one send me a PM.

I am a special education assistant at an elementary school. I also just started waiting tables again because well my job pays about 1/3 of a teacher's salary, which is not much in Texas. I also go to school full time. I love my job at the school, and since I just started at the restaurant, I'm not really sure that I love it yet.

I'm a grad student in a biomedical engineering department - working on improving drug delivery to the brain using MRI-guided focused ultrasound... which translates to: drilling holes in rat skulls, injecting them with brain cancer cells, then knocking them out and injecting drugs and taking cool pictures. And I do some volunteer work on the side.
