I work for an NGO. Its main objective is to engender among children and young people an active awareness about the 8 Millennium Development Goals of the UN, all this trough physical activities (games and sports). In parallel, arising a sense of belonging, of pride for our mexican roots and the desire to know different realities.

I'm a civil rights lawyer in NJ. Freedon of speech cases, freedom of religion, women's rights, LGBT rights, students' rights, racial discrimination, reproductive freedom and sexual rights, police misconduct -- all the good stuff. :-) I think I have a case for you .

I am a graduate student of philosophy. Well I will be in the fall. At that time I'll be TAing philosophy classes and living the good life. I specialize in biomedical ethics, philosophy of disability and philosophy of sex. This summer, I'm trying my hand at iphone development. I'll let you know how that goes.

I'm not an employee at this time, and mostly -as all my life until now- i follow what looks interesting to me. Among other, i studied engineering and i was working in merchant ships (i wanted to see the world) for some time. I was work as journalist in motorcycle magazines also. If i wasn't so lazy i would finish my studies in philosophy and maybe teach childrens. As for now, i build and repair computers for friends, restoring guns and bee keeping. I'm trying to get into writing again starting with monologues for theatrical plays. Finaly, i think i'm a leaf in the wind...is a job also..isn't it?

Eh.... of course the tree is gonna worry. My tree told me so, lol. It worries and I have a perfectly respectable, fairly stable job.
As far as profit, I've been reading lately that people who spend their money on experiences rather than things generally rank higher on the happiness scale. So, I'd think that making ones living that way might rank the same way?

Eh..well, yes, some how yes..that's the way it is..,but any direction you are in life has its own results and must accept the consequences. The good news is that nothing lasts forever I like people who have stable job! Without them, the world would be a big mess..

I like people who have stable job! Without them, the world would be a big mess.. I always admire people who have a much more vocational attitude to working (by vocational I mean doing or studying various things, all of which interest you, as opposed to being in a profession you love). I love the progression and sense of achievement of 'working your way up', but I dunno, I suspect the funner side of me would have a much better time of it if I got to do all the things that fascinate me... (also, bee keeping must be awesome!)

I know this thread is really old but I am brave enough to bring it up again. Yeah! I realized that most of the people who stated something here, seem to not be around anymore.
I work as a customer service agent at a company that produces machines for dental practices. My job is to do order management for sparepart orders as well as making sure that supplies last. I am on the phone a lot throughout the day and all over the globe. Unfortunately, over the globe only via phone and e-mail. I'd actually love to travel more for business as I currently do which is about 1-2 times a year that I get to stay at another German city to take part in business meetings.
