Hiya mate, I've been there where you are mate, I had my surgery on Friday 13th 2009. Before then I never went out of the house from Septemeber 2007- I got admitted in the spinal unit. My sore took from September 2007-Basically now to heal properly, I still have a plaster on now to protect it from when i have my bowels done etc. I'm up from 11am-5pm every day except Saturday when I have a day in bed, watch sky sports, etc. I'll give you some advice mate, don't rush trying to sit back up for hours, i did only up for one hour for weeks, if it looks red, get off it straight away. I'm c4/5 and I have sensation in certain areas, (not where I wish I had...lol)... It'll take a long time to get right, mine was a big one, deep, my bedroom is full of DVDs, box sets after spending so long in bed. It does your head in stopping in bed,
All the best with it though..
Pete,
