12.) A vent may keep you alive, but it can also help lip lock you and your partner but keeping them alive as well. True story and I've already tried it. HEHE It was fun! i feel so dumb but i dont get what you mean here? so the vent locks you in a kiss?

You know that super cheesy Just Girly Things meme? We should totally start the dev equivalent.

She'll forgive you if you drive over her toes.

She'll forgive you if you drive over her toes. But only if she wears shoes. Without shoes ... she might be a little annoyed and saying words like "ouch, ouch, ouch" a lot while jumping up and down. But once you crawl in bed next to her, it will most likely be forgotten and forgiven.

It would indeed be very painful without shoes.. Yes I could even kiss her better.

Well I can look at this from two perspectives. I'm a bi guy and was married before my injury. My wife loved me before my injury and nothing afterwards changed her love for me. The loss of sexual ability, atrophy, spasms, incontinence etc didn't phase her at all and she didn't complain once about having to clean up after me or about the the extra household chores she had to assume. To me that's better than anything because she loved me for who I was not what I was. Since her death I'm now strictly gay and if I had another relationship it would have to be with a dev for the following reasons: I wouldn't feel embarrassed about being naked with him. I wouldn't feel I'd have to act as 'normal' as possible . I'd know he'd be comfortable with my wheelchair and body image - in fact it might turn him on which in turn would turn me on. I'd be able to enjoy sex knowing that he'd enjoy having sex with me. As nice as all these things are the best thing would be to find a dev that loved me for who I am, not just for my disability - but I doubt I'd be lucky enough to find that twice in one lifetime.

This is an awesome thread! More new people need to see this and maybe we can think of even more reasons!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you (meaning a PWD) find a dev who is interested in similar things, has a great personality, and has all that going for her (or him), the very coolest thing is they're attracted to the one thing most people would find as our least desirable aspect, our disabilities. How awesome is it that? Really sweet

13: She'll appreciate you as a whole, without the lack of ability or struggles being a sore thumb.
