Is anybody interested in pretending? Does anybody hate pretenders?

I would, but I still think it's too risky for me and I don't want someone to discover my "little secret" ...

The idea of pretending has never really entered my head, as I see myself being with a para, not being one myself.
If I had to express an opinion about others pretending I suppose it would be that I would not like to meet a guy who I thought was a para, only to discover later on that he was pretending.

I haven't ever pretended or thought about doing it myself. Although I am attracted to men with disabilities, I don't think I would have all that much fun trying to attract myself, if you know what I mean. ;D
I don't have any negative feelings to those who pretend, but I wouldn't go that far as to try and act like a gimp just for the fun. If it floats your boat, though, by all means go for it!

My first pretending sessions (para or leg amputee) were in a cabin at my great-grandparent's house. The house was sold before I was 2 years old... I don't know how and why I got this thing - maybe a memory of previous lifes...

Not only have I never tried pretending (nor do I feel any urge to try it), my other half has offered to pretend for me - to indulge me - and that doesn't really turn me on at all. It's not something I associate with him - nor something I wish on him. I'd be devastated if something happened and he ended up paralyzed.
I think the attraction, for me, is to the authentic.

To be honest, sometimes I find pretending hotter than the real thing because there's less guilt. I've found that the thrill in pretending (whether it's you or your partner) is that everyone else around you THINKS it's real. In your own home, it's eh. But if you're brave enough to venture outside....

In your own home, it's eh. But if you're brave enough to venture outside.... I would never venture out... And I'm not pretending any more. It's been like the role playing of little children when they play beeing mom and dad of their puppets - I've been playing beeing legless. I've given up with this roleplaying when I turned about 12-15 years old - I'm not doing it any more. My attention turned toward those who have these qualities.

I'm a para pretender and I go out from time to time....as much as I like pretending, I know I'd never go into making someone believe I'm a real para if I ever was to be in a situation where something could develop, being friendship or more...
You have to put limits somewhere!

Yeah, I'd feel weird about that too. I just meant I like the idea of passers-by thinking it's real.
Just wondering about something: I've read stories about people who become full-time pretenders. Like all their friends, etc, think they are really disabled. Are there actually real life people who do this?

Maybe I'm completely hallucinating this, but.....
Does anyone remember an episode of the TV show "Night Court" where some woman pretends to be legless to see if Harry would like her despite her leglessness?

the closest i got to pretending is in hiding. i have never owned a wheelchair but when i was little, i found a pair of underarm crutches which coincidentally fit my height. whenever i was home alone, i'd play with the crutches and slide my feet around as if supported by braces. i think it was just a curiosity thing, though.

I've pretended to be a quad (not vent-dependant) and it was very cool. So much so I want to find out if there is a way to temporarily experience being totally paralyzed from the neck down. I've heard about something called a spinal block (?), but does anybody know if there is a way to do this? I am so craving this it's driving me crazy!!!
