Initially, I wanted to make a poll, but the board's poll tool wasn't sufficient, so I spontaneously decided to make a survey. I'd be delighted if you participated. de.surveymonkey.com/s/SRVP7NT

Yes, I'll look if I can change it to English. I actually thought about making a survey on dev fantasies. Maybe in a few days

Great survey. Will you let us know the results?

Great survey. Will you let us know the results? Yes, I will I'll wait for some more devs to participate though. Some interim results: There have been 19 participants so far. Unsurprisingly, SCI is the most popular disability (only two participants don't list it as among the disabilities of their primary interest), followed by amputation. Most devs don't care whether the disability is congenital or acquired in an accident, but there seems to be a slight preference for the latter. Nobody likes willingly acquired disabilities. I didn't expect anyone to do so, I just added it for completeness's sake. The most popular device by far is the manual wheelchair. 12 participants have been in a relationship with a PWD, the majority of who have a SCI. All of the participants' most recent DA partners use a wheelchair. 9 out of them use a manual wheelchair, 4 use a power chair. They are 12 in total, as one of them uses both. In consistence with the poll from the other thread, almost all the participants met their DA partners online. Most of them live or used to live far away from their partners, in more than half the cases more than 2000 km (roughly 1250 miles) away. Only few devs have been criticised for their attraction, but note that most people might not know about the participants' devness. Most of those who have dated PWD have been called admirable for it, but not necessarily often. There are quite some non-devs who are attracted to the participants' DA partners. It seems like a wheelchair does not necessarily make someone unattractive to a non-dev. I added this question to get at least a very rough idea of whether non-devs see PWDs as attractive men or if the disability spoils it all for them. Also, I was thinking of a woman who was really obsessed with my bf, asking him for pics (not nude ones, just everyday life) for her to use as porn material. He didn't manage to find out whether she was a dev.

I did it... problem is that I could only fill in 2 or 3 questions... "if you've never been with a pwd skip the question" was the most common sentence for me there! jajajaja

Also be careful, since it's anonymous there may be disabled guys responding like they did in my dev preferences survey.

Also be careful, since it's anonymous there may be disabled guys responding like they did in my dev preferences survey. How did you find out about this? There have indeed been one or two participants recently who I'm somewhat suspicious of. Is your survey still online? If yes, I'd love to participate.

Oh I just noticed this poll is just for female devs. What about the gay male devs among us?

Oh I just noticed this polis just for female devs. What about the gay male devs among us? Well, unless the questions are strictly asking about the female point of view on things, I assume the polls are directed at all devs. Hope that's ok. There are more similarities than differences. Sure, you can participate as a gay male as well. I was thinking about women initially and didn't give the title too much thought. Hetero relationships might tend to have different dynamics than homosexual ones (as was mentioned in the gays' thread recently), but I agree in that the similarities are more important. I probably just didn't expect the guys to vote, because Devs Only seemed flooded by the women recently.
