I'm a walking para using braces and crutches 24/7 (OK, not when I sleep, so I guess it is rather ~16/7). I don't use a wheelchair. I hope I still qualify for this forum. Here comes a short bio (ignoring my previous live for now) ... - 2003 SCI at L3 after bike (bicycle, not motorbike (people always assume motorcycle)) accident
- 2005 Moved to Washington, DC
- Since 2010 separated
- Expecting to live at lest two more years in DC.
- After that, who knows.

Hmmm. Lemme check. You're a para. And a human being. Yep. You qualify. I quite like Washington, DC. Found a delicious pizza joint there. And museums are my jam. Welcome from Canada!

I also like cute and cuddly animals I especially like the DC museums ... because they are free! Seriously, you don't have to see everything and spend hours in there just because you paid for it ... you can come back anytime. I can only handle about 30 minutes of exhibitions per day. So I prefer to come back and check out couple rooms at a time. Actually I think it is not an easy city to like when you visit it the first time. Usually they direct you directly to the Mall which hits you like a Wall. Took me a couple years to figure out what other quarters the city has to offer. It is a beautiful city, I like it now. Pizza is a whole other topic. It deserves its own thread. There are roughly two good pizza places in DC. And BTW, I had a Calzone today.

Then the White House. Then the Lincoln Memorial. Then shopping. Yessss!!! I instantly fell in love with the city...but I might be a dork...and might have waaaaay too much energy...*high five to Calzones* Okay. I'm done spamming your thread. Welcome again
