I discovered paradevo a while ago but didn't participate much. I recently posted an ad on a popular site and a devotee found me, emailed me and brought my attention back to the site. Unfortunately he is located across the country. I'm in Arizona and just started driving again. Adventure seeking now but need a companion/navigator. Anyone in Arizona interested in a c-6 incomplete paraplegic with a power wheelchair?

I consider myself a paraplegic because my condition best fits in this category. Technically a quad

I'd guess you deleted the old intros.
The mods here very rarely delete posts.

I remember you, 8mph. If i'm not wrong, your nickname here is related to the maximum speed of your powechair, right? Welcome again!

I consider myself a paraplegic because my condition best fits in this category. Technically a quad First things first, welcome back, 8mph! I wish you the best of luck in your quest for a male dev You've piqued my curiosity though. Does this mean that you were injured at C6 but have the functionality of a para based on the ASIA impairment scale? There are at least two C6 quads here who use manual chairs exclusively - Pony and auscrip - and they are both quite "quaddy", for lack of a better term (forgive me, boys!) I have yet to come across a para in a powerchair, so this is most fascinating Hmm. If I'm not being too forward, may I ask your reasons behind choosing a powerchair?

actually, my injury is like c4-c5...which i found out tis year via MRI. I always thought c5-c6, guess i should be in power, but my shoulders n biceps kick ass.

I stand corrected. No offense meant *There are atleast two C6 "ish" quads here who, blah, blah, blah...

Actually this just comes back to my usual comment that levels or specifically ASIA scales are just a classification instrument. I think I technically broke the c5 but the function is a c6. A C4 Asia A wouldn't be able to push a manual chair. Levels don't mean a heap whereas function does. Ask a room of quads what level they are and 90% will say c6.
I will say there are a myriad of reasons someone may need or choose to use a motorized chair - shoulders, body shape, other health conditions, terrain in which yoy live.
I am however curious what a para (technically a quad) is though.
Is this a growing trend of quads willing to role play as paras to find a Dev ??

For the record. A Dev recently told me my hands weren't that 'quaddy' looking when she first saw them (and how they move/don't move). Maybe it was my quad pot that gave me away.
