That's really strange how he just disappeared, unless he got hurt or switched gyms. I was wondering what happened with him.

Sorry to hear that Dani. Whisked away by another dev maybe? The moral of the story is if he reappears you have to make your move quickly.
The Uber guy is from Texas while I think Ada is Brazilian. That's a hell of a fare if it was him.

Returning from a long hiatus, but had to post about a recent sighting! I was visiting Denver and stopped in at the Apple Store at the Cherry Creek Mall, and lo and behold: a very handsome quad. He was demonstrating a product to a young family, and then started waving (with sexy quad hands) and cooing at their adorable young baby. I tried waiting for him, but alas, another employee cut into my view and started his spiel about the new product line. The sighting reminded me immediately of one of the excellent paradevo stories about girl-meets-Apple-Store-employee -- what was it called again? (the name escapes me, but the devvy details are vivid!)
OMG I know the book you are talking about, it starts with the girl meeting a cute para at the Apple store. He fixes her phone after she drops it in the toilet lol. I was sure it was one of annabelle's books but now I can't remember which one. It's driving me crazy! Does anyone else remember which story this is?

It was called "Tales of a Sick and Twisted Devotee", it doesnt appear to be onsite anymore as i've just gone through all of Annabelle's old posts.

That title rings a bit of a bell, but it doesn't sound like a title Annabelle would use. Dropping a phone into a toilet does sound like something that would happen to one of her characters though.
I remember a story where a gal worked in a store and the cash register computer system went down. The tech who was helping her over the phone was a PWD. He normally only did remote work, but finally his boss forced him to come attempt the repair in person. She got in trouble for not getting some stock put away because she was "distracted." They went to lunch together. I don't remember who the author was or how/if the story ended. It might be one of the many unfinished stories on the blog. But this wasn't an Apple store. It was something more along the lines of Staples or maybe a toy store?
Maybe what I've written will help to jog someone else's memory. I'll keep working on it...

I wish she would post more.

Thanks lucretia ! Sadly, it has been deleted from the blog. annabelle , would you consider posting a 2.0 version? Yep, I wrote that one! Girl drops phone in toilet sounds like an Annabelle plot device . It was based on some of my real life somewhat disappointing experiences and one fictional good experience. I took it down because I was trying to be a more legit author and.... well, you know. The title. But if anyone wants to read it, I can send you a copy!

Had a little different sighting last night at work. I saw a guy with CP and he didn't look bad at all and was not totally young anymore, mid thirties. I saw how he used his walker and I was super intrigued and kind of awestruck. It kind of touched the dev in me. I kept wanting to look at him but was pretty busy and didn't really have a chance to check him out further. But the image kind of stayed with me and then I even dreamt about it and it was a sensual dream. I woke up kind of surprised at what I had been dreaming. Well, I never thought about CP a whole lot and it has been more my secondary interest when it comes to disabilities but I think I want to look further into it. I actually read up some about it then and learned quite a bit how it happens and all. It was very interesting to me and actually when I read about the brain damage in a baby during pregnancy or during the delivery shocked me a bit. I had a horrible birth and my head was tore open with forceps during delivery (I still have scars on my head), I had to stay in the hospital for six weeks and apparently my mom told me that they always told her that I was lucky I turned out "normal". Maybe physically, but psychologically I wonder sometimes The same thing kind of happened when I delivered my first born, it was not a good birth experience. Now that I read up on some of the reasons for CP I kind of had to breathe a sigh of relief. I think I'm broadening my dev interests.

As I've said before I see a LOT of PWD at work, very occasionally a cute guy.
But today was something a little different.
This really, really tall guy (over 6'5', maybe close to 7") came in on crutches. Probably just some ortho work. And he was gorgeous!! Great proportion (probably an athlete), chisled jaw, angular features (I have a thing for that).
He had huge hands.
Basically, he was just a beautiful male specimen. 😁😁😁😁
But he was super awkward with the crutches, and something about this obviously AB guy on crutches took me back to my days as a Candy Striper in my teens.
I got to help a college football player practice going up and down stairs. I'd forgotten all about it... What a great memory.
On the other hand, remembering the hot guy on crutches also brought back the OTHER big memory of helping clean out and pack a pressure wound on this old guy's ass that was bigger than both of my hands...
Probably why the whole experience hides in the back of my mind. 😬
But damn. The guy tonight was so gorgeous.

Ugh - this crazy DEV thing. I was driving today and noticed a very handsome man in the truck next to me. Alright, handsome man right? Until I noticed that there was a sporty wheelchair in the back of the truck. First thing I do is look at license plate-yup, Disabled license plate. Heart starts racing...I try and catch up to sneak another peak but he is driving super fast. My mind wanders...how does he do that, is it his? Scenarios racing through my head. My DEV self gets so revved up thinking...I miss where I was suppose to turn 😮!!! Just wanted to share.
