Sorry late to the game blueskye101 but this is the link. I'm in there, but it's been pretty quiet lately. We need to get some more threads going! Thanks tori. Your new book is amazing and promise to get a review done. Doing a lot of night shifts and my brain is zombie like right now.

I just grabbed the ebook on this one, but I've got Kindle Unlimited. Right now I'm reading "Because He's Perfect." It's an anthology of short stories about all different issues. OCD, stutter, PTSD, HIV, infertility, blindness, amputee etc...

tori mwin Ok, sorry I had no idea that you can get it at suche a low price for kindle since I don’t have kindle. So, for all these books mentioned here, do you think that I should get a kindle?

You don't need to buy a Kindle. Just download the free Kindle app on any computer, tablet or smart phone, buy the Kindle version of the book through the Amazon website, and read it anywhere. I've gone totally paperless on all the books I read for pleasure, it's great.
Thanks for the tip on the new anthology--I just picked it up. So cool!

Thank you devogirl - I’m not quite informed about the new technologies in reading, yet, I guess. I didn’t know about the app. That sounds great though.

You can read kindle on any device, and they synchronize, so if you read 20 pages on your phone and then want to read on your laptop, it's all good. No guess work. Plus there are a lot of free books on kindle, and kindle unlimited. That's what I try to stick to. You can also order ebooks from many libraries, and read those on your devices. Let us know how you like it. PM me if you want more info. I only read ebooks.

Pretty thought provoking but difficult for my dev brain to process 😉

OMG I take back what I said about "Because He's Perfect." The blindness short story is all about how the guy rapes the girl, blackmails her and holds her as a sex hostage in his house until she falls in love with him. WTF did I just read? I was so angry the publisher is passing this off as a celebration of disability. Also the depiction of blindness is a pile of cliched garbage by someone who has obviously never met a blind person in her life or done the slightest bit of research. Do not buy!

Kindle books are typically priced pretty low. Usually $3-4 each. I also have Kindle Unlimited (as an author I put all my books in KU because I believe in the program and it works for me). With KU you pay like $9 a month and you can read ANY books for free that are enrolled in the program. Think of it like Netflix, but for books, if that makes sense. Not all Kindle books are KU but a LOT of indie authors (like myself and annabelle) have books in the program. I highly recommend.

I think this book is hit and miss. I suggested it after reading the stutter story, which I actually LOVED and I was hoping the rest of the short stories would be as good as that one. I didn't even think I was into that but it was a nice one. The blindness one pissed me off too! I read about half of it and gave up. It was far too creepy for my taste (and I can read some dark stuff). That's not my jam at all. I REALLY liked the HIV one though. (Not devvy, but just a good story I thought because I hadn't read anything similar to it). Many of these are hit and miss in the book, but for $0.99 I didn't see that it was too much of a risk.
