This popped up in my Amazon Kindle feed today: Before The Snow Flies By John Wemlinger
Not sure I want to read it, but if you do can you tell me how it is?
Here is the description:
A wounded vet returns home His high-school sweetheart has never left A secret looms large between them In a small town that doesn’t like secrets
Major David Keller was well on his way to becoming a general when a roadside bomb in Afghanistan took his legs. Angry, grieving, and carrying a loaded gun, David returns home to mend a few fences before using that gun to end his life. But before the snow flies, his family, his community and Maggie McCall, someone he tried to forget, will prove to him that life in the small town of Onekama, Michigan, can be great once again—if he will only let it…and if murder doesn’t get in the way.
John Wemlinger’s latest will make you smile as often as it will make you cry! — Tim Keenan, Vietnam vet and author of THE GOOD HIKE
A powerful novel with a wonderful message wrapped around a great story. —Emilee Johnson, Captain, US Army Nurse Corps

I just read a fairly new book that I found sort of gently devy. Features an incomplete para. Short and sweet if a little cliched ~~~ Crashed (Mason Brothers Book 2) by Julie Kriss amzn.eu/2IAUMeP

mwin-I just bought it. Can’t wait to start reading...I’m so in the mood for a “wheeler romance.”

I just finished reading A Heart of Little Faith, a romance between a widow and a para named Gideon. I dont know if this is old or not. Many of you may have read is already, but I thought it was really devy.

So nice to see people adding books! This is my fave thread. Crashed is not a kindle unlimited book, so no go for me. I 😭😭😭 I read the book A heart of little faith... I wish I could remember if it was good or not.

pam, that is a "go to" book for me when I am in the mood for some devy romance. I've read it numerous times along with Falling from the Sky and A Marriage to Fight For. All of them push my wheeler dev buttons .

Thanks ladies, think I'll try those ones next. I seem to be devouring romances at the moment. I can't get enough of them. Love that there are lots of recommendations to go at 😀

Just finished reading Crash and enjoyed it. I do sometimes wish the stories didnt often involve a depressed/mentally anguished pwd who never leaves home etc and is then "saved" by a beautiful girl. In my experience most PWD live a lifestyle that an AB would struggle to keep up with ! Obviously not all pwd, but most, are determined to appreciate life not hide away.

I've just finished reading Crashed, it was ok but the narrative style is a bit too simple for my taste
