Um... I just binge watched 12 Monkeys and it was so freaking good. But damn you Sir Paul , Tek , and wonk I was worthless for a few weeks lol. Especially toward the end because I just couldn't wait to see how it would wrap up. Amazing finale and each season just got better and better. Thanks for the recommendation Very good.
Up next: Russian Doll

I was so glad that I finally gave it a chance. Now I recommend it to all my sci-fi loving friends. It always makes me feel like I've accomplished something when someone connects with something I've recommended! I'll get to Russian Doll after I finish up The Umbrella Academy.

Sir Paul and Tek feel free to keep the recommendations coming lolol Definitely going to watch Russian Doll. I'm sure I will binge it lol. It's hard watching new shows because you go through the first season so quickly and then have to wait. This just happened with PEN15, which I highly recommend if you're looking for a ridiculous comedy that also hits the feels. It's a new show, two adult actresses playing 13 year old versions of themselves (in the year 2000) and go through all the awkward, painful to watch, hilarious and emotional middle school stuff. And they totally hit the mark lol.

I have a desire to watch PEN15 now, need a good comedy.
The Umbrella Academy on the other hand, has been the best things I've seen on Netflix since Scruggs.
After UA, I'll start on Russian Doll.
Then I'll FINALLY start on It's Always Sunny, that'll take me a while but damn it I'll do it.

Sir Paul and Hopper its hard to tell if I'm biased because PEN15 is SO relatable for me lol... 1. I was in middle school during the exact same time period (early 2000s), 2. One of the main characters is half Japanese/half white and they explore that whole dynamic.. what it's like growing up as a biracial person in America (as a biracial myself that aspect really resonated with me). But I do think they do it in a way that everyone can relate to, because we were all that age once, and it's just an awkward time for like 99% of people lol. Clearly Mets also loved it (yes I know he was really making a penis joke in his post, but I do happen to know that he really did like the show lol). And a thumbs up from Steve is high praise I'm excited to watch The Umbrella Academy, looks like it will be excellent Oh and Hopper I just binged all of Always Sunny in a matter of weeks so... lol. You can do it

John Goodman's expression in that thumbnail just put me in mind of Sam The Eagle from The Muppets.
Still, BER looks like another thing to watch after PEN15 and Always Sunny, a dramatic antidote.
Tried watching Liar Liar the other day on Netflix and for whatever reason, as much as I love Jim Carrey, it just didn't do it for me anymore. Likewise with Mr. Bean, which I also watched an episode of the otherday, as much as I like Rowan Atkinson, it just wasn't funny. It's not a case of seeing something too many times that it's not funny, but it was something else I couldn't put my finger on.
Anyway, PEN15 sounds relatable (to an extent), looking forward to it.
Speaking of relatable shows. There's a new Britcom called Jerk starting soon about a guy with CP who's, well....a jerk and it seems to really strip away most 'inspirational hero' bollocks that The Beeb like to do. I'll try and find a trailer.
ETA: PEN15 isn't on UK Netflix, but I have watched the first episode of IASIP and good lord, I took to it quicker than I thought I would. Usually I give something 3 episodes before I judge but with this, I don't have to, I'm keeping it up.

Has anyone of you seen the movie “Pieles” (Skins) on Netflix? It's such an awkward movie with a very artistic approach on topics like love, being outsiders/freaks, being mistreated by society and in relationships as a deformed person etc… and it turned out, that there's a relationship of a male dev and a woman with a deformed face in it.
When I saw the movie, I was wondering, if it is known in this community...(maybe you've already discussed it and I haven't found it). I'm just not really aware how many pictures there are, which treat the topic of devotees and the complex situation of loving a person because of its appearance … for me it was the first time to see something like this in a movie.
Well… If you haven't seen it, I would definitely recommend it... even though it is really hard to watch because of his awkwardness (I mean, one girl has an anus in her face, which is actually her mouth). But I think, it is such a moving picture…

OA season 2, finally! I really enjoy most things created by Brit Marling. It's like indie-scifi, short on special effects, but rich in creativity and characters. Check out season 1 of OA on Netflix if you haven't already. You'll either LOVE it or HATE it. Either way you'll be asking yourself, "what the F did I just watch?"
SPOILER ALERT! Watching the season 2 trailer will completely spoil season 1's biggest mystery.

Finished watching the Alienest. Kinda gory, but I loved the show. For those who care, the doctor has a slight limp and something wrong with his arm. This show really isnt for everyone, tho. Please keep that in mind.
