It's funny really because when viewers get to that point, they'll think 'what was with all the secrecy?' but it's worth it. Diego, along with Klaus really stood out as the best out of the bunch.
Roll on Season 2.
In other news, just finished Turn Up Charlie.Whilst it was strange seeing Idris Elba in a gentler role after mostly associating him as the brooding, grumpy detective Luther but it just shows his versatility as an actor.

Hahaha yeah it's probably not really a spoiler but I don't ever want to ruin anything so I err on the side of caution lol I agree 100% Diego and Klaus were definitely my favorites. I also thought the kid who played number 5 was fantastic. I will say I was a little disappointed that it was mostly the males that were quirky and funny and weird. They didn't give any of the female characters those traits The first association of Idris Elba that always pops into my head is Charles Minor from The Office lol. Who was not very likeable. Definitely curious to see him play a less grumpy role lol

That's fair enough, best to be safe than a spoiler-er.
I agree with you there, though that's not to say that Vanya or Allison didn't have those moments but it's a shame they didn't emphasise those traits as much as they could've. I mean, both were ripe with comedic/quirky potential.
Seeing him play a lighter role is certainly jarring at first but at the same time, being likable is exactly how he comes across in interviews too so I guess you could say that in Turn Up Charlie, he's put a lot of himself in that role and it really, really works.

Just finished True Detective Season 3, a worthy successor to Season 1.

Oh, The Umbrella Academy! I was so hooked. I actually found Luther super devvy, but not Diego. I actually kinda slept through 'his' episode. I loved all of the characters, except for Vanya. Couldn't really connect with her. Five was my favorite and I agree, the kid who played him was brilliant! I could definitely see a 50-something there. I have so many theories and so many thoughts on the universe of the series, I should read the comics to satisfy my curiosity—but I'll wait for season two. I thought it looked so pretty, overall. Also, the soundtrack was fantastic, perhaps the thing that stuck with me the most.

Luther was the one I felt kind of "meh" about, but I definitely connected with him more toward the end when you start to see more of his vulnerable side. I totally agree about Vanya... it's hard because I know this is kind of supposed to be the point with her character, but she just felt very flat to me. But maybe we'll see a different side to her in season 2. I really hope to see more of Aidan Gallagher (number 5) in general, he is so talented. And yasss the soundtrack is amazing!! I've been listening to it a ton (so glad Netflix puts their soundtracks on Spotify lol)

I am watching Rick and Morty for a second time. Always love seeing things I missed from laughing too hard the first time.

I decided to watch all of ‘this is us’ in like a 3 days and I was basically crying constantly for the whole time, I needed it though, but it is an emotional rollercoster!

Not Netflixing as such, but under my 'no pub' house arrest I've managed to watch almost every episode of Bob's Burgers.
I remember really falling for the show after 'Sacred Cow' back when it first aired over here and I've been hooked since.
It's one of the best shows to make a harrumphing Hopper happy again.
Back to Netflix though, three words:
Love, Death and Robots. I love animation and I love anthologies, this wonderful amalgum was very impressive.

Finished Russian Dolls. Not bad at all!!! Wondering if there will be a season 2. The ending def encourages discussion, so that's good.

New show on Netflix out, I think today. "Special" Based on a book about a guy with mild CP. Author is also the actor. His story, somewhat. Seen 3 episodes. They are very short. 15 minutes each and only 8 but I find it very funny. Love his new friend Kim especially. Also forgot to say he's gay. Hires a sex worker.

Very early into it (25 secs) and yeah, I take my hat off to a show that represents the milder cases of CP. Nice find Blue Skye .

So, after 8 episodes of Special (2 hours overall?, it's weird how it was split, could've been a film quite easily.) I have to say that I loved it, I really did.
Ryan was a brilliant lead. Very complex. Likable in one way but excruciating to watch in most others (I had to watch a scene in ep7 through my fingers, he was being that much of an arse). It's rare to have leads like that these days. I could relate to him though, cutting it short, it was a very humanising portrayal.
The supporting cast was great too.
I could go on and on, but I won't, I wanna wait until more people have watched it.
