British dev - middle of England, but originally from the South. I miss living near the coast, but couldn’t be any further away from it if I tried :-(
There are loads of Brits here, they are just all quiet and reserved. Apart from Tykes.

Yep, Tykes certainly isn't shy or reserved. And like all Northeners, is all the better for it.

Hey up Tykes, nothing wrong with the Midlands… I’ve got the Brummie accent, you know, Birmingham born and Bred. Although I’ve moved into Worcestershire, I’m still in the boundaries of Brum. I have lived in my lane now since 1992, and since I’ve took hold of my Tdx I have finally gone out and about in it. You might think why? I don’t know if any of the other Brits are under spinal units in England, I’m under the one near the Welsh border, just past Shrewsbury. Last November I found out my mate went to the Swiss clinic, 34 years old, dead! Now I thought about him in that position, that choice and I couldn’t do it. Don’t worry I’m not asking all your opinions, but when it’s someone you actually know, you question it daily, I can’t get it out of my head. I’m off to his service in April and I really want to ask his sister why did he do it? Is it to insensitive. Pete

I'm not British but I live in the south of England. From another northern European country. Came here to study, stayed for the weather

British here too, but not being from Yorkshire I'm more of the quiet and reserved type!

I think there are lots of wheelers on the site Kat from the UK, all wanting to meet our own Dev's

I have no desire to live anywhere else thank you. R. WHAT! Not even Yorkshire? Are you mad man! It's wheeler season soon here, the cobbled streets will be full of trundling whleelers and Para's will be frolicking merrily in the meadows around Leeds. Hmmmm but be quick if your moving north, were closing our borders soon Having given it further thought if I did decide to live somewhere else then Yorkshire would be the only place I'd consider. R.

I have no desire to live anywhere else thank you. R. I’m with you robbb. I’m perfectly happy living in this country and I’m fed up with the mass scaremongering about the impending B word and resulting embarrassment of being British. I’m a proud Brit and always will be. I love my country.

I think my desire to move out of the UK has more to do with wanderlust. Ive travelled and lived abroad a lot, been back in the UK for a few years now and i think its time to move on. There are positives and negatives everywhere and so many variables as to whether you are happy, but the world is a huge and wonderful place. Personally, i want to see as much of it as possible but i think if i was happy to settle in one area, life would be easier.
