Just like the heading asks, what do you guys think is the best disabled dating site? I’ve been on Disabled4Dating for years but quite frankly it’s a total waste of time as there never seems to be new members. Any help would be very much appreciated. BTW, apologise if this question as been asked before.

Hi. I think there was a thread about this fairly recently, but to be honest i cant remember the outcome. Pretty awful name, but whispers4u seems to have a reasonable amount of profiles. Good luck, online dating is a bit like putting your hand in a tank of piranhas and guessing how many fingers youre going to lose. Apologies for my cynicism 😊

Whispers4u it’s a load of crap… all the profiles are years old and even my friend is on there still and she’s been dead for two years. I have been on online dating sites since 1996, and I am telling you they all a waste of money. Pete

When I was single, I thought they were a great way to meet women.
You should try the ordinary ones too, not just those disability centred.
It helps a lot though if your able to travel at least some sort of distance.

Ugh, I had the worst experience on whispers4u many, MANY years ago. Definitely don't try there, imo.

I agree with this. Don't focus on just disabled dating sites. You are limiting yourself it you do.

Sounds like i had an unusually positive experience of whispers4u. Im using the word "positive" loosely, there was quite a high percentage of weirdos, serial killer types and total fantasists

I had a good experience on whispers as well. I met my husband there but I honestly think he was one of two guys who seemed normal/real/date-able. That was back in 2007 though.

The normal ones aren’t so great in my area in the sense that I don’t get any hits on them. I’ve gotten unmatched or whatever more times I’ve had a conversation with someone. Maybe I need to do the reverse and try the disabled ones.

your best bet is just to be transparent on any normal dating site, sorry but disabled dating sites are trash

… all the profiles are years old and even my friend is on there still and she’s been dead for two years. That sounds like an entirely different kind of disability altogether. buh dum pssss

To be honest I’ve been on Okcupid.com for a bit and I do get lots of messages. They are mainly from Filipino ladies, but I have a Filipino male carer as he assures me there genuine. It’s not all Uk, it’s worldwide. Pete

I just wish on the “normal” dating sites there was perhaps something like a dropdown option asking if you’d be open to dating a disabled person or not. That way it would give you at least an idea if its worth contacting that person or not as you’d know they are open-minded enough into dating a disabled person.

Yes PacMan that’s true, I have been on online dating sites since 1996 and I am pretty cute regarding people I have put up many photographs, and a good written profile using humour and my interests and got 174 likes in one week. That’s 174 people who are interested, which isn’t bad, plus it’s free. I have an interest in languages and earlier I wrote a message, translated into Russian using Google app and sent it. So you never know who is about in the world, plus it passes the time away. Pete,

Pete, britishtetra I don’t know about you mate, but have you ever been a member of those sites were you can’t read or send a private message to anyone else you pay an subscription fee? Before you pay the fee the site tells you all these people are interested in talking to you, your inbox gets bombarded with messages. Next thing you do is like a total sucker you take a chance, pay the enormous fee just to read these messages and send back one of your own, next thing once you pay the fee all communication and interested on your profile stops. Its all just a scam to get you to pay the subscription fee. Drives me mental.
