Let me know when you plan a road trip that includes Vancouver BC. I like beverages of all descriptions and would love to hang out for a relaxing afternoon! Cheers Zack

Quite excited for that one actually that’s funny, so the two of us will be browsing around there are the same time, doing similar stuff, however at different corners of the country. In my head I have the map of the US in mind, and our routes mapped down in spinning circles LOL. hope you have a lot of fun!!

That’s awesome blindlover. I have made that road trip from Seattle to San Francisco and it’s really nice. Going over Mt Shasta is fun. So are you going by yourself or with friends? Who will be the driver? Does it get boring just sitting in the car for so long when you can’t watch the scenery go by? It is a long trip. How far south are you planning to go?

I live in VA but travel often. My favorite southeast city is Charleston SC. Charming, beautiful, interesting and amazing food. I'm planning on visiting Charleston. I've been there once for work. But guess what I saw? An installation of a machine in a doctors office. That's all I've seen except for a dinner at some place that had awesome crab cakes. Wish I could find that place again LOL. That’s so funny, feelsunshine - NOT! Reminds me of a work trip I once did to Venice. I was sooo excited, but when we were offered a visit of Venice, my client said he had already seen it a hundred times and was not interested. So all I got to see was a shoe factory, the hotel in Padova and the airport... 😭

Well linda , I guess this is why they call it work instead of pleasure But shoe factory sounds OOOK... did you at least spoil yourself with a pair of shoes that remind you of your wonderful trip to Italy?

Actually feelsunshine, I was interpreting for this major dealer of orthopedic shoes, so no, it was not exactly my preferred style of footwear... 👠

Oh wow.... the traveling agency just let me know that in addition to the rent itself, it is going to cost a fee of 300 USD to drop the car off at a different place than where I picked it up. This is just over the top! So instead of spending a fee of this amount, I rather spend that money on gas. However this changes my trip in the way that I won't be able to go all the way down to New Orleans anymore. Instead I'm working on a trip going as south as Jacksonville, FL, then west towards Tallahassee and afterwards directly heading northwest towards Montgomery, Nashville and back towards Charlotte again and fly back home from there.
@southerncalgal I'll tag you here since you mentioned being interested in traveling to New Orleans to meet there. Sorry I won't make it.

Drop fees vary wildly between companies and can sometimes be waived if you ask. Anyone here from Alabama? As I just finished my travel plans, I figured out that I will draw a pretty much straight line through Alabama. Going from Tallahassee FL to Montgomery, Birmingham and Huntsville.
