I can confirm ducks as well. I have 3, one of which is a constant biter. I want a barn owl so big I can ride it! Or, a glider that I can paint owl feathers on. You know what, scratch that. I'll just get the glider instead. Finding a barn owl big enough to ride would take forever. It might take a while to find a rideable barn owl....but it would be worth the wait ! Perhaps you're right! Plus I could turn on music and make billions of dollars on my giant barn owl dancing videos. Yup, giant barn owl is my answer again. Thank you Delight!

They are so pretty. It would be great if they had baby owls and I could watch them grow up. I have a family of barn swallows in my yard right now, but no owl😢 We have some remote lake front propert, and this year we have a resident owl. It only comes out at night, so I cant get a Look at it, but it's beautiful. When we are there, I stay up to catch a glimpse. It likes one specific tree. Every year the animals we see changes.

Changed my mind I want a single Guppy in a huge 80 gallon fish tank, and I would name it Frank Ocean. Make sure you don't get a female, or the chances she comes pregnant is pretty good, and before you know it, you will have hundreds of inbred guppies swimming in your tank. 🐟🐡🐟🐡🐟🐡🐟

Indeed, Dogs are loyal to you as a person, cats are loyal to your opposable thumbs. Cats are loyal to causing trouble....ours will knock food off the counter so the dog will eat it. It doesn't bennifit the cat, as he only eats a specific kind of food and plastic. Lots of plastic.

A dancing giant barn owl, that would blow peoples minds. I think you need to plan this though, the music is very important...maybe "When Doves Cry" by Prince ?

When I'm free of the shackles of housemates and find an elusive 'pets welcome' tenancy a cat would be my wildcard answer. I'm known for my dislike of cats but I'm convinced a well-trained housecat would be a good companion. Until he revolts and learns his kind was once treated like a God and there's that inevitable power shift. Believe me, they already know they are meant to be treated as Gods, there is no power to shift.....they already have ALL the power As the saying goes, dogs have owners, cats have staff. R.

I once gave my boss a bath because he decided to jump into the toilet while I was peeing. Even in context this is the strangest thing I've ever posted.

Yes, so much so that I had to check the thread title wasn't 'random vocational escapades'.
Going back to dogs, the burning question is, which breed? I've loved Springers forever but in the back my head I've got a voice saying "Get an English Bulldog and call him Davey Boy".

Oh wait, no we're good, I meant to post that here. Whew, don't scare me like that! Any who. I had an english bulldog named Puddin' when I was in high school. She lived on the couch and would threaten bodily harm if you so much as thought about sitting on her couch. Also, my sunglasses and baseball caps were always missing from my room because my Mom liked to dress her up and take pictures. This was in the mid 90's. If Facebook had been around I wouldn't have seen my stuff ever again. Something to think about - Bulldogs can't take heat, they are strictly indoor dogs unless you are walking them.

You'd need spare batteries for a power chair so you could cover the distance needed just to make them warm up ! But they are very loving and sweet.

Yeah, grew up with 2 of 'em and even now at 15 the one we still have is full of beans. Of course they aren't without issues at that age but even so, their energy is amazing. That and their loving nature and loyalty make them excellent companions. Bulldog temperaments are apparently similar but without the Springer's get up and go attitude. dave78 duly noted re:Bulldogs being better off mostly indoors. Not that I wouldn't walk him or her, but it'd be short, brisk walks.

My cat is more affectionate and caring than my dog 😂😂 I think cats get a bad rap but they are loving creatures just as much as dogs. Yes some cats are grumps but I've met plenty of indifferent/demanding dogs too lol. I absolutely love animals, even the grumpiest of the grumps, the raggamuffins, the "nuisances", etc lol. I adore opossums. They are heartbreakingly cute and they do so much (they are nature's "clean up crew") yet they are often hated on. And like myrrh mentioned, it is very unlikely for them to get rabies (a common misconception). I love encountering vultures too. They are so majestic and fascinating, and another member of "nature's clean up crew". I am so lucky to live in an area with all kinds of wildlife, like opossums and vultures, but also hawks, owls, bats, rabbits, turtles/tortoises, deer and more. I may have mentioned this before about all these critters but it just makes me so happy lol I second the capybara as dream pet. Good call kat 😂😂

I think I would like to have a python or a chin Chilla. I used to have a six and a half foot bull snake and I loved it.
