I think raccoons are oddly cute, so if a domesticated version was available, I'd jump on having one! Their little hands! Their fluffy tail! Their bandit face! It all gets me.

Yup, it's the 'mask' that gets me. Gives them a somewhat mischievous look. Peacocks apparently can be somewhat vicious, but I'm charmed by their elevated sense of style and inherently amusing call.

I remember moving through the woods as fast as I could one night because I thought I heard a child screaming in the darkness. It turned out to be a pet peacock. I was glad, but I never really liked peacocks after that.

Yes, stylish yet threatening. Like a grumpy drag queen.

Coyotes howling at night are creepy. I know they are looking for food. Dangerous for small pets.

Yeah, Coyotes are bad news, much like Dingos. Wile E. Coyote is the only good example of 'em. And even that's up for debate but a character asassination of Roadrunner is a subject for another time.

Sadly i think pugs have been over bred as theyre so popular and have lots of health issues. Hopefully french bulldogs havent reached that level of popularity so the breeding is more selective. I already have 3 dogs, so cant really justify more but.....still tempted lol

Sadly i think pugs have been over bred as theyre so popular and have lots of health issues. Hopefully french bulldogs havent reached that level of popularity so the breeding is more selective. I already have 3 dogs, so cant really justify more but.....still tempted lol A friend of mine is a vet surgery tech, and she's told gnarly stories about how most English bulldogs have such messed up anatomy they can't give birth. She's done a lot of c-sections. I once read a piece by a vet who observed that, while most dogs hate being intubated, the brachycephalic (smoosh-face) dogs don't seem to mind and even perk up sometimes; it's as if they're enjoying being able to breathe clearly after a lifetime of having to labor for air. It's really horrific, and the fact that we've bred these adverse and painful traits into dogs because they're visually pleasing is difficult to face.Agreed, it's sadly a subject that some seem to want to ignore and of course with the rise of popularity in bulldogs, pugs and other brachycephalic breeds it seems something that people will continue to do so. And it's a concern that with the French Bulldog becoming more and more popular, breeders will take less care. I mean, I know I've expressed my love for Bulldogs here but I'm still questioning whether it's really right to raise an animal that's been bred to embody traits that give it a poor quality of life. Yes treatment is available, but from what I've read it can shorten the life expectancy considerably. Back to the main subject of the thread, a Monkey always seemed a cool pet as a kid and a teen but it just wouldn't be right. Sure it seems cool to share a home with our evolutionary ancestors but to take them from their own environment to ours seems cruel. In fact, without looking, it's outlawed isn't it?
