I need to watch The Shape Of Water again. It's my favourite film.

[quote author= With Peter Dinklage I don't know many movies/series yet. I was even waiting for Game Of Thrones to have a decent ending and to be able to watch it in English. In any case he was quite good in it, judging from what I've seen. Richard Gere gets better and better with age, I think. Saw Dinklage first in a movie called The Station Agent many years ago. Was so good. I agree with Richard Gere getting better all the time.

I'll probably have to see it again to be sure. Since he shot Red Corner, I generally have more interest in Richard Gere's films. In my opinion, he would have made a great Robert Langdon exactly because of his age.

I saw 1917 the other day and it was fantastic. Definitely one of the best, if not the best, war films I've ever seen. It was amazing!

Yesterday I read the film script to 1917, as I have done a course on writing scrips. It’s strange when you read something like that, and you try picture the movement of the two men, as they deliver that message. I have just downloaded the Irishman, so might have a crack at that later. I really want to watch Ford versus Ferrari, as I am a big fan of motorsport. Has anybody watched it yet? I have viewed lots of clips on YouTube, but it is not the same. Although I did watch Rambo, Last Blood, last week, and I thought it was a good addition to the series. The end so to speak.
Cheerio for now,
Pete 👍

From people who like Tarantino, I've heard good things about it so far.... What concerns Dune, I am not sure I can watch the movie objectively. I liked the 1984er adaptation by David Lynch very much. Maybe too much. But I think, I'll just wait and see.

I loved it too, and even liked SciFy's (then Sci-Fi)take on it. They first introduced me to James Mcavoy in the sequel (he was son of Paul)
But this movie has a stellar cast. Oscar Isaac and Jason Momoa in the same movie...I just died.

Oh, then we agree, great! I really like the 80's cinematically anyway.
This is completely new to me, I did not know that SciFy also shot Dune. But yes, it really sounds like a bomb cast!
I think, I must check it out. Thanks for the hint!

I still have a lot of catching up to do on 2019 films, as I try to finish all the major movies and ones I’m interested in prior to Oscars night. Out of everything I’ve seen so far though, here is my top 10:
1. Parasite 2. The Farewell 3. Little Women 4. Midsommar 5. Jojo Rabbit 6. Paddleton 7. Hustlers 8. Us 9. The Peanut Butter Falcon 10. Booksmart
Almost made the list: Ready or Not, Fyre, Bombshell, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Dolemite Is My Name
Still planning to watch: Missing Link, Joker, 1917, The Lighthouse, Rocketman, Fighting with My Family

I just watched Sorry To Bother You. I don't know what I expected this movie to be but it wasn't that. It certainly subverted my expectations. The film takes a turn, but I don't want to say any more to avoid spoilers.
It's a pretty good social commentary on modern day racism and corporate greed. It left me feeling similar to how I felt after watching Get Out.
If you haven't seen it don't read up on it too much. It's best to go into films like this blind. It's great though. Watch it.
