I tip my hat to you, writing a play is infinitely more complex than a novel. You have to take into consideration not only the plot and dialogue, but the way the dialogue is presented, setting and decor, possible musical accompaniment, and flow. Thank you for the talk up! I used to work as a costume designer so I really like feeling like I still have control over that as the writer. Lately, I've been finding it funny to just exercise my control in impractical ways, like "There must be a WWI cannon on stage. Nobody is to look at it or acknowledge it, but you must have it because it is part of my vision." I certainly hope the play isn't a Medieval story, otherwise the cannon wouldn't be...canon.

Hey and welcome, fellow Daredevil fan/writer/just-outside-of-NYC'er! Daredevil is so good! We don't deserve it. I mean season 3, come on. It's killer It's indeed amazing; I'm holding onto hope that the show'll be revived for Disney Plus regardless of how long Disney has to wait for license expiration or the legal hoops they might have to jump through.
How do you feel about the other Defenders series, and about the MCU overall?

Watched Jessica Jones, which was good. The Defenders wasn't great. I love a good graphic novel and want to read more comics generally. In college I went to a lecture on Captain America and how the evolution of his villains correlated with American's sense of "the enemy." And it really inspired me to explore comic book universes more.

I took an edX course several years ago called "The Rise of Superheroes" which mainly covered the history of comic characters and their recent permeative influx into popular culture. I don't remember the course venturing into politics or the instructor attempting to draw parallels between Cap's nemeses and real-world entities, but I'm sure there was some overlap with the lecture you went to. Was Michael Uslan the speaker by chance?
And yes: Jessica Jones -- ❤️. Iron Fist -- Yikes. Luke Cage -- Loved season 1, season 2 was meh. Punisher -- Okay but almost too violent for me.
I'm only now discovering comics myself, and am very very slowly making my way through Infinity Guantlet. I'd also highly recommend Avengers Versus X-Men.

Sounds like a cool course! He wasn't. It was a friend presenting his honors thesis so nobody known, but it did stick with me. I'll have to give that one a try!

It's a myers-briggs type (one of those personality test type deals). It stands for Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Perceiving.
