Heya All,
I'm scheduled to go on a business trip to Austin TX in a few months and was wondering if anyone had any first-hand recommendations? Bars, restaurants, attractions, etc....
I'm only there for a week so i really don't want to waste my time with trial and error:)
Thanks guys!

Just visited a friend in Austin last year! So much great food and a cool scene in general. Unfortunately I am having a hard time fully remembering particular places lol
I do recall going to Radio coffee, really cool spot, and there was a Venezuelan taco truck outside. Delicious, but not entirely sure about accessibility. I imagine in general Austin will be pretty accessible, though as usual some places may be more of a pain in the ass than others.
My friend took me to a lovely dinner at a place called Jack Allen's, phenomenal food, service, and ambiance. IIRC definitely accessible
I recall hanging out on S. Congress I think? Lots of bars and food
Sorry Im not super helpful 😂😂 I will think on it and see if I remember any more spots. But I'm sure you will enjoy it!
Have you been to the US before? Accessibility is pretty decent here. Definitely not perfect, but from what I've seen in other countries (sometimes with a wheelchair user), and the general reports from members here from around the world, my understanding is it's pretty good here comparatively (of course PDers please feel to chime in if you disagree lol). Some buildings in bigger/older cities like NYC can have limitations because of older infrastructure and cramped space. Austin is "younger", more newly developed, etc. In general, buildings that have "historic" status may be a little more difficult, so that's just one thing to look out for
Of course if you've been to the US then you probably are familiar with all of this already lol

Thanks for that Jess, super helpful:) Yeah i have been to the US before, both east and west coast. I found it very accessible, although by far my favorite place was San Diego! I prefer the states over Europe when it comes to access... big difference. I struggled so much getting around when i last did a Europe trip - the states was SO much easier! Thanks again Jess
