I was going to share this on the Netflix thread but I couldn’t find it. So I create a new thread here, and it’s even better because this question should not be limited to video clips.
So, I can always cheer up with beautiful music, listening and singing. Even though I always prefer the sad music, in minor. Also that makes me very happy. But what I really really also love to do is watch Trevor Noah (I might have mentioned once or twice or maybe even nine times that I am his biggest fan alive), and this clip here is among my favorites, I must have watched it a hundred times but never get tired of it. Have fun!

I find that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert really cheers me up, but I guess that's just me?

Getting lost in a book always perks me up! I also like putting on some stand up comedy clips or re-watching RuPaul's Drag Race.

In no specific order... My friends, my home, the beautiful area it's in, good food, good wine, the sea.
There are other things but I think they are the biggies.

Here is a cheer up for everyone. In Gifu-Prefecture in Japan there is a lake which is called „Monet’s pond“ (Mone no ike). It’s created based upon the famous water lilies paintings by Monet. I think this is just so beautiful! Finding real beauty like that always cheers me up.

The feeling of coming home on a Friday evening after work and knowing that I have three free evenings and two free days to spend doing things other than my normal weekly work routine. I have that feeling right now as I am typing this...now I just have to come up with something fun to do!

I saw the water lilies in Paris a little over a year ago and I thought they were breathtaking! I also have a print of one of my favorite of Monet's paintings in my living room (not water lilies)

Believe it or not, what cheers me up is buying gifts for my family, especially my nieces and nephews. But, alas the monsters are getting to that age when they don’t believe in Father Christmas. Sitting with uncle Pete watching Elf has gone, it’s what’s your wi-fi password, and there in the conservatory, tapping away. I like watching Don Rickels, roasting away with Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra on YouTube. I also like listening to Tony Hancock, who did a radio show called Hancock’s half hour in the 1950s, that’s quite funny. When it comes to music, I listen to Chopin, Beethoven and Jean Michael Jarre, oh and not forgetting Bakewell tart and custard. 🤣

linda, I love Trevor also and Colbert are not misses. I work a lot of night shifts so am able to snag a few minutes of the late night shows. Getting lost in a good book probably top of my list. The sea, I agree is uplifting and soothing at times and I’m thankful I’m so close but at times it makes me melancholy too.
