Back to topic. I never smoked weed on a regular basis. Just every once in a while when somebody had a joint and offered a bit. Dani as far as I understand, you want to do that in order to ease your mind and get off junk food. Please have in mind that smoking weed can result in being very hungry and eating everything what’s there. So I don’t know if this would then be the right thing to do. Not on junk food...you may have misread 😁 Ok, dani after re-reading I really have to admit that I misread your post earlier. So the information that was in my mind was like “ok, dani usually eats junk food as a distraction and now wants to get into harder stuff” ... the term “edibles” didn’t cross my mind to think more deeper about what you meant 😂 we’ve never baked it into something so it didn’t cross my mind that you could mean that with the term edibles but now it’s totally clear to me. Feel so stupid now 🙈

Yeah, "edible" is definitely a strange word 😉 I always thought it should maybe be "eatable" if any. The edibles I have tried were flavored gummys... Nix für ungut feelsunshine😉

I recommend making weed butter and then baking cookies or something. You can find instructions online, but here's what I do.
I bake the weed @ 240F, on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, for about 40 minutes. Then I put the butter, the weed, and about 1/3 c. water into a pot and let it all simmer on the lowest simmer you can imagine for like 3 hours. Then strain the weed butter water mixture with a fine strainer, a coffee filter, cheese cloth, whatever you have. Put the butter into the fridge in a container and it will separate from the water. Then just bake with the butter like normal.
The ratio I use is: 1/8th oz weed 1 cup butter 1/3 cup water
If I use this cup of butter to make a batch of 24 chocolate chip cookies, ONE cookie is enough for me. You may have a greater tolerance, but generally speaking, at least start with ONE and see how you feel after 2-3 hours. If you're very new, I'd consider starting with half a cookie, or using half regular butter in the recipe. Also, if you're new to weed, know that eating on an empty stomach can make the effects more extreme. And if you do get a little paranoid, you think maybe you took too much, just remember to ride the wave ~

Thanks for the recipe Tommy but I don't want to work so much for it 😉 I guess I could just buy the special brownies...

Honestly, it's getting harder and harder to find ppl who sell it in Sydney (ppl have moved on to the more lucrative, harder stuff). So, i now grow my own and use a strain of 'Northern Lights' - it's incredibly relaxing when smoked! I also had a side plant called 'CBD Queen' for making oil... which i then filled into empty caps. I store them in the fridge and only take when i need a 'prolonged' chill One plant made me like a 2 year supply. Honestly, you can't go wrong with these 2 if you're just looking to relax.

I wouldnt recommend cannabis for anxiety. It causes anxiety. I stopped it 15 years ago because i developed panic attacks after smoking everyday for years. If you wanna relax and forget or get rid of anxiety its better and safer to drink alcohol in small amounts or just meditate

Have you thought about using a Vape Pen? I recommend trying that because its easy to use, you can get them in different strains, and its very low maintnence.

Hey Dani , I know that this probably fits into the "edible" category, but a lot of dispensaries also sell cannabis infused drinks. They come in tons of different flavors which I think are also sometimes better if you don't want the super sweet gummy or chocolate taste of edibles. I've found that a 1:1 ratio of indica and cbd can be a mellow feeling to help with stress and anxiety. Just make sure you know how much of it to drink so you don't over do it if you end up trying out a drink. If you like to drink beer, it can be a fun alternative to sit back and have a "cold one" with a totally different feeling.

I have tried cannabis on 2 occasions, and I can't say I enjoyed it. I ate some, didn't feel anything for 2 hours and then suddenly BAM. I felt like I was in a dream and felt detached from reality. I couldn't remember how I got from one moment to the next. If I said something it kind of felt like it wasn't me who was saying it, just like being on autopilot. It was quite unsettling. It's put me off from trying weed again but I really want to just feel relaxed on it. Maybe I ate too much. But the last time I didn't think I ate much. I literally just had 2 bites of a brownie in Amsterdam and I was off with the fairies. God knows what would've happened if I ate the whole thing!

Actual reality is highly overrated in my opinion. Everyone's brain is different but you might consider CBD which is non psychoactive but still will help you chill and can help relax muscles.

Normally I don't really like to smoke cannabis/eat edibles because it would make me anxious or paranoid but every once in a while I'll say fuck it and do it cause life's too short anyways. Today I had the chance to hangout with a cousin and she brought some Indica for me to try. All I can say is man was I chillin like a villain. Wasn't anxious or paranoid at all. Now I realize in the past I had been using the wrong strain for me which is Sativa. I highly recommend trying Indica if cannabis makes you paranoid or anxious. Very similar for me. I do well with hybrids also. I recently found that lowering the temp results in a really relaxed vibe too. Dry herb vape between 360° and 390° is *chef's kiss*. I've been using it medicinally to relax (I have an anxiety disorder and can't believe it's actually helping rather than making it worse now lol)
