queenkala it's nice of you to share but did the author give permission? If she took it down I assume she doesn't want it to be shared anymore. I would hate to think that it's being posted without her knowledge or consent. OMG I'm so sorry you're right. Braindead moment, I've removed it now. I didn't even think. Thank you!!

She emailed me back! I directed her to this thread and hopefully she'll contact you. It was a very good story and she's a really talented writer. hey annabelle, since this thread was reactivated and i'm still interested in the story, did you have any luck back then? it's been 5 years, i know I managed to get my hands on that paradevo story. Its called Lucky 13. It was never completed, but everything that is done is in the google docs link below. docs.google.com/document/d/13WYE6T-b4awMrIOFjZ6jswsUm8NAFjRk66sOwah_r4I/edit?usp=sharing

Sometimes if you use waybackmachine (can't remember if it is a .com or something different) you can access old webpages and find it that way. I've done that with some of my favorite FF that got taken down! Yes, as I was just saying. You can find it by googling for "wayback machine", or use the link to it I just posted, which is web.archive.org. waybackmachine.org also works in redirecting you there. Thanks @celaena and @ynis_Ainu, I tried that years ago unfortunately. That FF story is lost to the ages it seems..

There's a fun little devvy surprise in the newest season of The Expanse. Details??? I've never watched the expanse, do I need to watch all the previous seasons?

I read that recently. It was cute, but nothing that really stood out! Also on Kindle Unlimited, if I recall. I have started reading the M/M series Irons and Works, also on Kindle Unlimited. The first features a Deaf love interest and the second focuses on a para protagonist. It took a bit to get past the suspension of disbelief that a bunch of differently disabled guys (something like 12 total with Deaf, PTSD, para, amp, brain damage, etc.) could all make a good living running a tattoo parlor in an idyllic small Colorado town. And it wasn't the disability thing... But how many tattoo artists can a small town really sustain?!?! But the series is well written and HOT for anyone looking for a steamy read! Love that series ! Same here, read the entire thing there just before Xmas!

I've seen it a lot of times, too , it's on Disney+ in case you want to see it again! I remember watching that years ago! That, Motocrossed, and Miracle in Lane 2 (or whatever the Frankie Munez racing one is) fueled my young girl dev desires. I started watching Going to the Mat today to remember and man is that kid a jerk! If he'd been in my school, blind or not, I would have probably avoided him since he was so mean- at least at the beginning! I remember Miracle in lane 2, that was definitely a devy movie for me as a kid. But I don't know Motocrossed, who was the disabled character in that?

I just read Black Sun, a new book with a blind guy MC by Rebecca Roanhorse. I loved it but it might not be for everyone. Pro: The Aztec-inspired fantasy world building is amazing, and it's so great to read a new fantasy series that isn't just another Tolkien ripoff. Also the author did quite a bit of research on disability and talked to real blind people, so it doesn't fall into the worst cliches and stereotypes. The blind guy Serapio is totally hot, and the romance between him and the badass siren Xiala is super devvy. He's supposed to be on a mission of magical vengeance but he's still human, and the pathos of his character is really compelling. Con: It's the first in a series so it ends on a cliffhanger, ugh! Also it's super violent and gory in some scenes. There are three or four main characters who aside from Serapio and Xiala are super boring; I was skimming their chapters. Also I normally hate magic blind characters who can "see" using magic, which is the case here too. His disability kind of gets dialed up and down as it's convenient for the plot, which was annoying. But overall I really enjoyed the devvy scenes, and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Unfortunately not on Kindle just yet... Will have to wait

Here is my Goodreads page: Lucy May Lennox. Feel free to follow or friend me.
I have two novels published so far:
Love in Touch, contemporary romance about a girl learning ASL who falls for a deafblind guy
I also have an account with the name DevoGirl on Archive of Our Own where I've posted some fan fiction, mostly of blind or deaf characters.
If you like my writing, please leave reviews on Amazon or kudos/comments on AO3. I really appreciate it!
I know you on Ao3 because of your sequel to The Raging Quiet. One of my favourite YA Books ever!

Currently put on "Drunk Parents" on U.S.Netflix and saw a surprise wheeler 7-8min in. I'm guessing para. He is dating Alec Baldwin's character's daughter who just left for college. It is a comedy so there was like 3 wheelchair jokes in that 1 min span. I am still watching the movie so not sure if he shows up in any other scenes. I'm 90% sure it's an AB actor between 21-33 years old. Also, I was looking at the upcoming list for Netflix and saw a documentary on the Paralympics being released this Wednesday. The preview showed it will be a history/meet some of these well known athletes type of documentary. I'll watch it on Wed. and report back It's Ben Platt, he was in all the Pitch Perfect films. He is AB.
