Hmmmm, I'd forgotten about that. Maybe that's enough, maybe not.......

It doesn't matter either way. No one's going to say anything about it, but it's not going to be this big, unspoken hush-hush thing either.
To me, this is just kind of like if a guy dated a Korean girl once.
Is it going to be weird and awkward for everyone when he brings his new girlfriend home, who also happens to be Korean?

Well c'mon now, Chan. You may not be a genius but I am sure you're smart enough to know that your analogy doesn't really fit. There's so much more going on when you have a disability involved vs. race. Especially for a guy. The societal expectations for a guy have a strong physical component. My inlaws are great and have never said anything, but I'd be kidding myself if I didn't believe that they always have been, and continue to be, very concerned about my limited physical abilities. I doubt that's changed by the fact that I am probably the most successful person they have ever known or met. It's likely more of an "at least......" kind of thing than the bragging rights it would provide if I were AB.

Alright, whatever. You're making it out to be this horrible, huge, awkward thing when it's really not going to be. I know my friends, I know my family. It's not going to be a big deal.
If I could change it so that he'd be my first and only wheelie, I wouldn't hesitate to do so. But I can't take back what's already happened. What's done is done, and now I'm moving on regardless of making a "pattern" or fretting about what people will think. I know how I feel about the situation, and I'm comfortable with it.

Matisse why are you on a dev forum when yours views on devs is like it is. As Chan said its like you're making it out to be wrong. Devness is as perfectly natural as anything else.
Good luck Chan, I hope you have a great time.

I know my friends, I know my family. It's not going to be a big deal. Actually I have no reason to know how your friends/family will react. I was responding to the race comparison. Perhaps I worded it too harshly.....
