Vegetables of all types: steamed, stir fried, roasted, pureed. Olive oil, lemon, brown rice products or spelt *they make pretty good brown rice pasta*. Almonds, almond butter, tofu products, raw nuts and seeds and water or herbal tea. That's it. Try to be creative with those ingredients without going out of your mind.
I do love roasted veggies tho', put olive oil on them and some sea salt and burn them crisp. Yum. Hey, in two more weeks I get to add some white meat chicken and some fish back into my diet.

The trouble is in this country it's not EASY to be vegan or vegetarian. I find eating meat is just often the most convenient option; not something I can't do without. If only there was abundant vegan/Indian/macrobiotic/organic 'fast food' available in the US.

Oh, Tri, would you love to live where I do...you can find a lot of that 'round here.
The diet doesn't sound too bad (I try to compose my diet somewhat like that), I'd go loopy without fish though...and I do need the occasional steak.

Well fortunately, this is for two weeks.
I did find out that I have to have my Lingual Tonsils removed and biopsied. How fun for me! I didn't even know we had Lingual tonsils. I had my "regular tonsils" out when I was 5. These are at the very back of your tongue and the surgery is mega painful. I am allergic to almost every narcotic - hives, vomiting. Anyone have any suggestions, besides a gun, for pain control after this most unpleasant proceedure? I could do Lidocaine spray, but it doesn't last more than 10 mins.

Well, I'm no medical professional (which strikes me odd that you ask this), but wouldn't a tranquiliser work? I know you probably have concerns regarding that, as you have to be alert for certain things (at least from what I've gathered). Whoever is doing the procedure will probably have some advise as well...don't know, might be a 'bazooka for hunting' idea...
I can think of a more 'abstract' idea...I'm not sure if I'm recalling correctly, but isn't medical cannabis legal over there...? Not sure that would even be approved...might not even make sense....just ideas.
