We've got threads on Netflix and music, but how about good ol' fashioned books! Who's read something worth sharing?
I'll start off with 2 fiction and 2 non-fiction books. I found them all at my public library:
Fiction: Agatha Christie - I had never read her mystery novels before, but there's a reason why she's said to be the best. "The Murder of Roger Ackroyd" was amazing - despite being nearly 100 years old - I won't spoil it but once I finished the book I found myself going back and re-reading passages where there were clues to the killer that I totally overlooked.
Christie's "And Then There Were None" was pretty good too because it's a group of people isolated on an island and one by one they start getting killed off. It's fast-paced and there are lots of potential clues.
Non-fiction: If you are into spy/espionage stories or Cold War history, then you'll find "The Spy and the Traitor" by Ben MacIntyre absolutely fascinating. A look into the realities and trade-offs in the life of a double-agent. At times it reads like a suspenseful spy thriller, and the amazing thing? It's a true story! Everything in the book really happened.
Finally, "How to Hide an Empire" by Dnaiel Immerwahr is great for fellow nerds who love history and geography. It's an account of the United States' overseas empire, Americans' ambivalent attitudes towards it (when they knew about it at all) and how it has affected our history up to the present day. (i.e. there's a chapter on how the English language came to dominate the world.)

Surrounded by Idiots by Thomas Erikson.
A really useful book on personality types and how to deal with them, predominantly in the workplace.
Can also make us learn about ourselves too.
