is that what makes him "safe" to be your choice, absinthe?....i dont ask this with disdain or anything of the sort,,,"safe" is a word often used when some grrl has been very sweet and flirtatious with me but has no intention in following thru...just the opinion of a 3rd party who has observed the inter-action.. Well Jeff, I could see where you might come to that conclusion. I could say, hey y'know everything is safe when you are just "window shopping", but no: Jason actually embodies what I prefer in a guy. I like his looks, attitude and intelligence. Anyone with that combo has got my eye.

In the short while I've been on this site, I wondered about this too. I notice there are a lot of para and quad guys here. I have sma and wondered about how much each type of disability makes a difference to devs...

I am not picky: I like high quads, low quads, paras. Other disabilities are good too, including minor ones (hearing aids are sexy), although most of my fantasies involve wheelchairs. The one thing I AM picky about is that he's got to be good looking otherwise. Just a disability alone is definitely not enough for me. My boyfriend is a single leg BKA and interestingly, that is something I've never fantasized about. He's pretty hot so I was attracted to him when I met him, but when I found out he was an amputee, I practically started stalking him. (Luckily, he liked me back so I didn't get arrested or anything In real life, it is just SO hot.

As far as who I'd choose as an ideal significant other, it's definitely fined-tuned down to low paras (it's a manual chair thing). But that doesn't necessarily mean that I'm not attracted to others.

(fyi, I basically stalked this guy I saw on campus a few days ago because he had a cochlear implant, and I wanted to get a closer look at it). A closer look at a Cochlear Implant...like the wire...? 'cause the implant is on the inside... Hell yeah!

you like Borgs chan...youre into dudes who have been borgified in some way... Ha, I guess that's a good way to put it. That's why I like the way some of the amputees look with these new "bionic" prosthetics. They seem almost superhuman (or at least like a a better, more powerful human).

i had an idea for a kind of science fiction story/book/movie/game/whatever; you've got these guys/chicks stomping around battlefields and whatnot, waging war and all, in theseBattleMech style enhanced, armored fighting suits...only it turns out that every one of them, inside these machines, are totally crippled up, completely helpless w/out their powered armor. it could be like, that's the role their culture or religion assigns to the disabled, or maybe a Normative nervous system can't interface w/the servos...something. how does that sound? BattleQuad 3000

This: So yeah, the wire then...I was wondering how the X-Ray vision was wondering otherwise... ...tri - there's an interesting short story out there, that was done quite a while ago, called 'The Machine Stops', give it a read (you can probably Google it), it has a concept that might be similar to your idea. Not necessarily Battletech, but still a similar concept...

Oddly enough, like some of the other devs here, I'm attracted to guys with disabilities like hearing impairments or even the occasional amputee. It's weird, though, because I'm not immediately sexually attracted to them like I am to certain paras. It's more like an intense fascination. I was just thinking about this the other day - if there were two twins alike in every way except that one was deaf and the other wasn't, I'd choose the one with the hearing impairment as a potential mate instead of the perfectly healthy one (fyi, I basically stalked this guy I saw on campus a few days ago because he had a cochlear implant, and I wanted to get a closer look at it). As far as who I'd choose as an ideal significant other, it's definitely fined-tuned down to low paras (it's a manual chair thing). But that doesn't necessarily mean that I'm not attracted to others. Okay, Chan and I are twins; that's pretty much exactly how I feel about it.

...now that you mention that, it explains why when I got a set of C-legs and didn't cover them (with pants or prosthetic covers) people seemed to approach and want to talk in social settings...
