Last year I was Christopher Reeve. Hilarious.
This year?
I'm thinking Lieutenant Dan.

[/li][li]The option I always chose was to make my own character. Go to a costume store, pick out a mask, clothes, props, makeup, whatever. It doesn't have to have anything to do with your wheelchair. If you want to be an ax murderer, dress up like an ax murderer, and guess what? People will see an ax murderer who happens to be in a wheelchair. [/quote] That's always the approach I've taken...there's no particular need (usually) to make the costume match or be 'compatible' with the chair. A wheeling axe-murderer! It's gold! This year I plan to masquerade as the horrific 'Windrider687'...that's quite scary enough! ...and the Lieutenant Dan idea - 1000% Awesome.

I've only recently started incorporating the wheelchair into my costumes... but now that I've started... it's just too much fun.

I had a few ideas. Wearing a Chicago Bulls warm-up suit and going as "sitting bull". Strapping a board to my chair and wear a suit for Frank Sinatra(CHAIRman of the board). I finally decided on being a mobile mammogram machine.

I went as a MAC Truck one Halloween. Used a cardboard box with holes cut out for the wheels. Even put on a horn and turn signals. Worked great!

What about an old trditional idea?Dress up as a witch (you do get male witches..) & attach a broomstick to the wheelchair,or if you want to put more time into a costume, you could make a giant pumpkin & you could go as a Halloween pumpkin on wheels ;D

Mr. Nice guy, you stole my idea, dude. I was thinking of Indian headdress, on shirt it it's printed "Sitting Bull Shit". I've been a pimp, gay model and a 'brother' with afro. They all sit, don't they???

Yes,it could be. ;D The wheeler in question would need a Prince Charming outfit, the only other thing to decide is whether to take a Cinderella with you or pick one up at the party.Either way the pumpkin is going to have to be two seater or Cinderella is going to have to navigate while Prince Charming drives.
