I saw this news article before. It has been cancelled. I think we should have a dress up day and go as uprights. I just need someone to hold me up!! Well, I like to dress up, so I´m with you on that one. Now what should I wear? Maybe the outfit of an ignorant head master of an Australian school?

This comment was classic. I want to say it's incredibly clever sature, but I fear it's not...
"What a great idea to highlight the plight of the disabled people in this country. Yes they are different people but they make very worthwhile contributions to this country. This idea is a great way to teach ordinary school kids that disabled people do dress differently and act differently. It is our job to educate the children of tomorrow that although disabled people want to be treated the same, their dress sense makes them different."

I seriously sat here for like two minutes trying to think of a response to something like that, but I just couldn't. All I can really muster up is something along the lines of profound ignorance.

Disabled people want to be treated the same but dress differently...who did the research for this?!

haha....this is great stuff!! I guess I'm NOT disabled coz I definitely don't dress like you REAL disabled peeps. looool BTW, I didn't realize all able-body peeps all dress the same. All this time I thought it was the fucking chair that made me different. Stupid me, it's the way I dress, ahhhhhh. DAMN!!!!

This blew my fucking mind...like I literally had to scrape some of it off the wall...like Chan, I don't even know what to say to that...I think Tony puts it well...I didn't realise we had a dress code - of course it's not the chair that stands out, it's our clothing!

I mean, maybe it's because that's the sort of thing I'd write, but... nobody can think that seriously. I refuse to believe they do *goes into denial*

I think the comment could be a joke... But, about the dress up day, I don't think there'd be too much variety among the kids dressing up. How many kids could bring in their disabled siblings spare wheelchair? Most would probably be "dressed up" as blind, deaf or mentally impaired... Also, what if a kid there is already disabled? Would they be automatically disqualified from the running for the best dressed? C'mon you know you want to dress up as me...I do a damn fine job of dressing up as you - just ask twilight and devodiva88!

I myself have my own dress-up night tonight. Going as the Hollywood sign. Oh yes. Pictures to follow..... PS sleeping with rollers in your hair is painful. Do not try it Windy!

Maybe it's disabled Aussies who dress differently. I mean, look at The Wiggles. Look at Angus from AC/DC. They are all "impaired" in one way or another, plus they dress funny.
Fubbs, Isabelle...is this an Aussie thing?
