What is it with diabetics? One minute they're on the floor with a loved one standing by screaming "Give him some chocolate! Give him some chocolate!" The next day someone offers them a piece of chocolate and quick as a flash they say "No thanks, I'm diabetic." I wish they'd get their story straight.

Almost as complex as human beings themselves ...

Well - diabetes is a very complex disease. Almost as complex as human beings themselves ... OK, maybe I should have accompanied my comment with more than a to convey the complete absence of seriousness. How about this one - On holiday a few years back, I took part in a quiz and managed to reach the final only to lose out after what I consider to this day, to be a correct answer. The question asked 'What 'C' would you associate Jeremy Clarkson with?' to which I confidently replied 'c*nt'. Not only was I told the answer was incorrect, but I was asked by the holiday rep to leave the premises immediately! Has anyone else experienced such appalling treatment whilst holidaying with one's family?

Why do you place your post about these stories in Phoenix´ thread? Seems to me that you´re disappointed or frustrated about something?

Why do you place your post about these stories in Phoenix´ thread? Seems to me that you´re disappointed or frustrated about something? Au contraire. When the thread diverted to the list of illnesses I could see what was coming - 'is this condition a legitimate disability?' 'does this condition appeal to devness' etc. , so, I tried to inject a little levity before any bitterness /recriminations/accusations crept in, by making a lame joke about a legitimate condition - diabetes - which doesn't have any particular 'issues' attached to it. Epic fail. But since you ask, I reckon people should just relax in regard to the subject of wannabees, fakers, preferences, devness, and all the rest of it. Life is a mysterious and wild ride for us all - but it's also a short one.

I think he was just making a joke...

(240 and 241 are both multiple personality disorder... you know... because he'd referred to himself as we... not to mention I kinda thought it was funny that multiple personality disorder was listed twice ;D) I am appropriately chastised... Btw, Lordchatty, you are no longer invited to trivia night at the Mexican Restaurant... ;D (that's a joke, too, just in case...)

If we're talking Spanish, it's 'No hay problemo.", if I'm not mistaken...and depending on what we're referring to...because it may not match in terms of gender-case...

I didn't get this impression at all -- not even remotely. I think he was just making a joke... Well, if he made a joke - and later posts show that he did - then alright. It just seemed to me that Lord Chatterley was describing two situations, where someone was craving something, and when they finally got it, they rejected it instead of welcoming it ... and I couldn´t see anything funny there ... (I seriously thought that he had been rejected by a dev and was trying to communicate that - hence why I said that people can be complex - well, so much for being overly analytical, lol . Basically, I found it to be out of context and became confused - but no harm done, Lord Chatty, you´re just too advanced for me ;D.
