We actually had a thread that droned on about DA. So yes, it's been mentioned!

Lee, Waterdance was Wesley Snipes (I think?) and Eric Stoltz at a rehab center with some other guys. It's pretty damn good for elliciting your "devo tingle". There are a few scenes I think are very silly, but most of it is really realistic (or so I assume) and there's a nice sub-plot of ES and his girlfriend that I enjoy. I think you'd like it.

Oh yeh, I saw this film, too on some German channel, only I didn't know the original title. I liked this film, too.

Julie, I think someone *did* mention The Waterdance. It's one of the rare movies I actually own. My late spouse, who was a para, tells me it was pretty accurate in her experience. And she says that of all the AB actors out there, Wesley Snipes was one of the rare one doing transfers and making it look like a real para transfering I'd second passionfish and otherside of the mountain, though part 2 of 'the mountain' was only seen once, and I could never find it again. Re Bone Collector, the movie was most definitely not "it", but the book was really good. I personally enjoyed the physician assisted suicide aspect of it, seemed very accurate to me. Re Extreme Measures, I did not like that movie, did not like the implication passed on to the general AB population that folks with SCI's will do *anything* to get cured. Blerch. I'd like to throw for the list "The Five Pennies", an old movie about the girl of a jazz musician who gets polio. Pretty good stuff, and has the bonus of being filled with fantastic music, appearances by Louie Armstrong and a bunch of others of his calliber. If you can get past the "rah rah rah" of it, there's also Tom Cruise in Born on the 4th of July.

I should remind people that there's a devo movies page on my site. If anyone wants to write a mini-review of a movie that's not on the page, I will post it.
