Modified Photos

Hello,

Here is a link to the Photobucket album, with photos I have modified. I only posted three for now.

At night, when I have a bout of insomnia, I sit on the computer and create these images. Its oddly soothing, in a tedious sort of way. I learned how to make these through a process of trial and error. I am sure that there are better, and more professional, ways to go about it, but my skill set was honed by hours of playing with image manipulation software. Therefore, these are admittedly the work of a novice.

If anyone knows how to improve the technique please feel free to contribute. Also, just for the record, I use a combination of G.I.M.P. and VCW Photo Editor.

I also want to add a disclaimer. I am not trying to pass these off art work. I said in another thread that I would post some of my "art work". I hope it was obvious that I was being facetious.

Thanks for posting these! I think they're great. Who cares if they're art or not, I think you did a good job, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

I have uploaded two more photos. Now that I am preparing them for public consumption, I fee compelled to polish each a bit before uploading. Hence the delay.

Also, if anyone has a favorite celebrity they would like me to modify, I would be willing to try. (It does depend on my finding an image that is "modifiable". i.e., sitting down in the right position.) So, any requests?

I to thought it was a little too tongue in cheek, that the program is named GIMP. Could the saturation of irony be any higher?

My translation is: "GreatGuys´ Image Modification Programme" - although I think the "P" could be something with "Paras" as well ;D. Cue Doe and her way with words? ;D

Well, I´m quite into British actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers (King Henry VIII in "The Tudors") *blushing*. How about him sitting in a wheelchair instead of on his throne? Would be just yummy .

About your requests - I´m afraid I cannot help you financially but I can definitely hire a cute wheeler to wash and wax your car (after he´s done he can wash and wax my bicycle ;D).

I absolutely love cats, so I´ll happily take yours to the vet any day .

I´m just thinking that Portuguese soccer play Cristiano Ronaldo would be exceptionally hot as a wheeler - only if you´ve got the time, that is .

Hi Everyone,

I am sorry that is has been such an inordinate amount of time since I have posted. Things have been quite unpredictable, as of late.

My grandmother was taken to the hospital after, what was supposed to be, a routine doctors appointment. My sister, who abuses prescription painkillers and alcohol, has resurfaced in my life. My cat has a chronic eye infection that has necessitated constant veterinary appointments. So the list goes on, and I feel like I have been run ragged!

However, I hope a modicum of luck will put things back under some semblance of control.

The program I have used, thus far, is called G.I.M.P. It stands for 'g-something' (I cant remember the word, but it starts with 'g') image manipulation program. However, E has been trying to convince me of the virtues of Photoshop, so I have been experimenting (quasi-successfully) with it.

Pictures of me? Be forewarned that many a camera have met an untimely demise at the sight of my visage! (Hopefully that is a mild dramatization!) Though, in reality, I am a terribly un-photogenic person! I only have one picture of myself that has ever turned out presentable. Alas, my stepmother has the only copy! However, I will comply and post a few in the Photo Section, once I upload them to Photoucket.
