Hi edguy. My daughter and I were at 7/11 the other morning and we met up with a "little person" who was also buying his Saturday morning coffee. It was the first time my daughter had ever seen someone with Achondroplasia and she was enthralled (she is 3) How could she be almost as tall as a real adult? Anyway, we got to talking after my daughter introduced herself and told him all about the lollipop she was going to get. Rather than pull her away and hush her as most parents are wont to do around someone who is different, I told him this was her first experience meeting a little person and would he accomodate her curiosity. He did and she hasn't stopped talking about him since...to the point of asking her Daddy if he could grow shorter so he'd be more fun to play with.
Welcome to the board.

You never know! At least Italy is on the same continent where I am (I've visited it several times).

Edguy, I went to Rome, Sienna, Venice and the place where the tower of Pizza is (don't remember the name). I loved most of the places I saw, and I really wish I can go back one day.

the place where the tower of Pizza is (don't remember the name). The place is called Pisa (and the tower is the leaning tower of Pisa). Pizza is that round thing you can eat.

Wheelie, The places I've seen in Italy (mostly Northern part of it) were not too bad, but there might be some tricky things. Like if there's no curb cut and you need to wheel on the street - Italian people drive like crazy... Or Venice might be tricky, because it looks nice only from places that are accesible via boats. Older buildings - museums, churches,... - which were not built in a wheelchair accessible way usually solved the access problem somehow, but not always the most confortable way. Regarding accessible toilets - I don't know. I found altogether that there are not enough public toilets around...

were they good for wheelchair users to get around vivi? I really don't remember, Paul. I wasn't aware of my devoness back then... I did like wheelers at the time, but didn't really know why.
