Things are kind of rocky right now with my feelings for him. I'm going to call him tonight and straight up ask him what's going on. Turns out, he lied to the other girl. This is crazy. He's in hot water right now. All indications show that he's lying to me too. You know... what's up with the lying?? I recently found out a guy I've been chatting with for about a year now had been lying to me about various things. It wasn't even stuff where the truth would have turned me off either. It was stuff that would have been inconsequential if he'd been honest but the fact that he lied made it a "big deal" because it meant I could no longer trust any of the things he said. Guess it's something for you guys to keep in mind. The female devo community is not that large, we talk to each other and if you're lying we will probably find out sooner or later and we will be angry!

Chan, this sucks, but better to find out now if Earl is cheating and dump his ass, rather than get more deeply involved. There is no place for lying in any of my relationships. If someone lies...to the curb they go (and I'm really perceptive, so it's hard to pull the wool over my eyes). What did this other girl tell you? Is she just as suprised and mortified? Well, it looks like a very lucky guy just screwed himself over.

Don't judge too quickly. Guys do and say goofy things that they may regret later. And things are so instant, instant, now with the internet that it can be difficult to stand down and take it slow.
Also-I hate to say it-but disabled guys may simply have less raw experience with interacting romantically with women. There is a learning curve after all. So a crip in his 30s may (MAY) behave more like a 19 year old, on occasion...

Ok, the air is clear. -E- and I officially talked everything out and there's not a problem. The only problem there was was a person in the middle of us confusing everything. I mean, the girl was nice to me, but I have no f*cking clue who she is or what she really thinks. On the other hand, I'm pretty close to -E-. He explained that he quit talking to her right about the time we started talking and just never straight up told her that he was seeing me. To her, his omission of exactly why he stopped talking to her was like lying. They never even actually met up or anything (part of the reason why -E- didn't stay serious with her) but were phone/email partners. He saw that I was serious about him because I actually made the effort to go meet him in person and then more -E- says he's never been untruthful with me, and I totally trust him. I'm just glad we talked about it and got to the bottom of things before I jumped to any conclusions. But thanks, Devogirl. I'm glad the posse was ready to kick it into full gear if he was being shiesty.

Ok Chan....phew. This is a big relief. You know I was ready to smack Earl. Well, this should teach us all a lesson in NOT jumping to conclusions.

How could there be cheating in the first place---I thought I recalled Chan saying they did not have an exclusive relationship?

Yeah Chan, glad it worked out, I just found it interesting that several people started talking about cheating but apparently didn't recall that it wasn't exclusive. I thought it was women who were supposed to recall the small details, not us men.....
