I just rediscovered this site a few weeks ago. Lots of changes... wow.
What I'm wondering, is if I'm the only female dev who also has submissive desires.
I wouldn't call myself a hardcore dev. I have always been attracted to guys in chairs, but I'm not turned on by spasms, or b&b, or things like that.... Those things don't bother me, but they don't turn me on either.
I think my "dev-ness" is like a trigger. I see a guy in a chair and for me it's like being attracted to a guy physically for any other reason... like nice arms... or cute butt. They still have to be cute, I still have to like their personality... but for me, it's a trigger. (and damn I have always liked nice arm muscles... which chairs have a way of developing... lol)
So I guess what I'm wondering, is this; is the fact that I like being dominated in the bedroom just something completely separate from my dev-ness... or are they somehow related?
And are their any dominants out there in a chair!?!?! That would be the perfect combo...

If I had to venture a guess I'd bet it's a seperate desire. The only way I could possibly think to link it is if you happen to be attracted to men who are fairly dependent and you enjoyed being ordered to do things for them... But that doesn't seem to be the type of guy you're describing. Anyway I know a guy who says he's a "top" (as opposed to bottom). If you want his contact info send me a PM and I'll clear it with him. I'm with you on the sexy wheeler arms though... sigh

I prefer to to be dominated as i like to please, but have tried dominating too. it is nice to take turns, same as any relationship, it takes give and take on both sides

Wanderindev, I feel rather exactly as you do. I tend to like more of an "equal partnership" as opposed to the real dom/sub kinda thing. I do, however, enjoy a good spanking now and again when I've been a naughty girl. Like you, the spasms, catheters and various equiptment associated with SCI/other disabilities are neither a turn-on, nor a turn-off. I just gravitate towards guys in chairs and I tend to like guys who are pretty self-assured and assertive in the bedroom.

I'm a sub too. But I don't think it's related.

independent living center,,,place that exists to help us cripsas resource centers, as advocates helping us navigate the murky waters we refer to as the guvment...i serve on a committee @ the local ILC that uses annual grant moneys to procure what a qualified person may need to raise their quality of life that isnt paid for by any other entity and that the person cant afford for themselves,,,everything from hearing aids to bathroom remodels...an ILC is one place where u may find as many crips working as you do non-crips...i dont hang out w/ them too much cuz many seem to be like,,,crip-nazis,,,so centered upon their narrow path that they never get around to enjoying the rosebushes that line the paths...if that makes sense?

i think the two things are probably unrelated.
personally i have a couple of other 'quirks' that have nothing to do with disability and /or guys in chairs.
good question tho.

Thanks for the input everyone. I still think there might be some sort of relation... I did explore the submissive thing for a bit... discovered I'm not that great of a submissive or a dev... lol. Maybe I need a new category.... "Quasi-submissive with dev tendencies...."

Now I'm terribly curious what all these other "quirks" are.
