Thank you ladies... The liittle gal in the last picture was the daughter that broke my heart. Margeau was 18 mos old when I was injured...before that she was a total Daddy's girl. She went everywherre aand did everything witth me. If she was sad, she cried for me, if she got hurt she would run to me. I was in the ICU/Burn unit for the 1st several weeks followiing my accident, and my kids weren't allowed in for ...I think a couple of weeks. When the day finally came, they brought her in last. She saw all the tubes, hoses, machines, and how bad I looked...she was absolutely freaked out, and would have nothing to do with me. Thankfully she slowly came around...but that was tough! I think this was taken 3-5 mos post-injury.

That is heartbreaking.... obviously you have some vivid memories and feelings from that time, but (I think) thankfully your daughter does not. The "memories" she has probably come from pictures and stories, and from what I can see, those are wonderful. |

Oh yeah... she was back to normal before too long...and so was my heart. You are right...she doesn't really remember anything...and has always known me in a chair...and with arms that come off at night...lol

You know Emma, when my ex-wife and I separated, I left with my Wheelchair, clothes, and computer...that's it. Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos. The ones that you see came from a Father's Day card. I will ask them if they can scrounge some up for me...

Though you have the more important thing... your kids in real life!
But... can't you ask your ex to lend you the pictures? or, perhaps, one of your kids could scan them for you.
