Ok, so...I was sure there was a fanfiction thread here, but I couldn't find one so on with the new topic. I've read and watched a lot - a LOT - of 'wounded hero' stories and I felt the need to write my own. And since I'm having a big time crush on Kevin Girardi, coming up with a new character felt pointless. I sort of have this whole story in my head but sometimes I lack the will to continue writing. This might not be a real devo thrill, but I just felt the need to share, sort of like questioning whether I should keep on writing. I've pretty much just taken the character and added up a new love interest. My version does not include any of the paranormal stuff that went on on Joan of Arcadia, because honestly, I couldn't care less about that. I felt the need to write a second plot for another character just because I loved how Kevin related with his family. So, to sum up, it's there, it's free and it's an easy read, I guess, even if you're not really familiar with the character. I read the 6 chapters, Crista and I really enjoyed it!
I like fanfic so... I would love to see where things are going with Kevin...
Like the girls said to you... please, cotinue!!!
(BTW... this is something i always want to know... do you know what injury level Kevin had?)

Wow, thanks! I really didn't expect these kind of answers! There was another chapter up there but I took it down because it just came to me and I felt like posting it, but it was a big jump in the future for the story (sort of like...fastforwarding through a movie). I'll keep it up. Thanks again. (BTW... this is something i always want to know... do you know what injury level Kevin had?) No, I don't. That was just me guessing 'from the waist down' thing, after googling a bit. |

Yes, Crista... that was what I also found. They never tell the level of injury!... I hate that! LOL

I have actually four and a half more chapters already written, but they're not in chronological order. That's why I've started this thread, so I judge by people's reaction if it's worth connecting the dots. I can offer a sneak peak into the future for those interested, if you don't mind spoilers, lol. |

I've uploaded two more chapters, for those who don't mind spoilers. They're not connected. I just have to add that I hate to call this fanfiction, because I've basically just taken a character's backstory (and Jason Ritter's cutness) and made up my own thing with it. This works even as a stand-alone story, with very few explanations here and there. Also, I'm really, really passionate about writing, it's what I've been doing since I was little, so coming up with this story felt very natural to me. Imagine this... the first "para" I saw in tv that was soo hot for me when I was a child was "John Ritter in Leave Yesterday behind".... I was like 9yo.
And... many years after... I watched his son, Jason, playing a para part.
And he is so alike his dad... LOL... it was an amazing deja-vu!!
Obviously, I loved his part (though I couldn´t stand the show itself)
