Obviously, I loved his part (though I couldn´t stand the show ... Cool! I could barely stand the show, watched it only for Kevin. I did like the family,but disliked all their storylines. Wasn't very keen on Kevin's storylines either, but he was a hot para and I' e watched much worse shows because of that. John didn't do anything for me because that movie was a huge let down... |

LOL Cristabell!!!.... in 1978 or 1979 John´s character was a hot para for me!!... LOL... Damn!... I think he was the first para I´d ever seen in a movie that wasn´t in the WW1 kind of wheelchair (I hadn´t seen The Men by that time) LOL
I forgot (sorry... modifying the wrong word) to ask... that docx from megaupload... has to be read before the fanfic´s chapters?

Nope. What i've uploaded are some next chapters. The second one is sort of the high point of the story, the climax:D I also have the end written, i just have to connect everything.

I love spoilers. You're not alone, Inigo! I am much more likely to read or watch something if I've gotten a spoiler. lol. Needles, you are right, there is a ton of writing talent around here! I'm so excited for our second collection book coming out  I'm hoping we can get some of Bethany's new stories in there! [And hey, talented people, submit some stories!  ] |

Yeah! Ruth! I'm glad to know. I'm so used to people seeming to look down on me because I will check the last bit of a book to make sure the ending is good/happy. If it's not what I want then I'll skip it.
E-books are a booger, lol.

I've uploaded the full story so far and gave numbers to the chapters. You can see just what parts are missing and I've also added chapter 9, all new. I just had to share that one. And I have to read it again and check for mistakes. I can also tell you that this is supposed to have about 16 chapters and I'm only having difficulties with the 7th. No guarantee, of course, that non-devs wouldn't read it, but would make it less likely.

Yes, email Lee and have him add you to the stories website as an author. Then you can upload chapters yourself. The stories site gets a lot of hits, people are definitely reading there.

I've done it! It's pretty much the only fiction writing project I ever got to really finish. And now that I have acces to the story blog, I wanted to ask you what's the best form to share the whole story? A chapter per post or the whole thing at once? The thing is, it's pretty big, about 80 pages in Microsoft Word, so even one post for each chapter would be too much, as I see it. A pdf file with a link there...or...?
And thank to all of those you've read it! The post I've made here was the only thing that got me to finish it. Also, before I post it, I'm going to edit it so it can be read as a stand-alone story, without and JoA connection. It works like that too.

Interesting that people didn't like the show! I loved it. I loved the premise and all the stuff with Joan and having Kevin there was just an added bonus. lol. Crista, it seems like most of the writers do about a chapter a post and apparently they do some sort of back dating thing to make it stay in order? I've only ever put in stories as one post, but mine are around 20 pages, not 80! |

Ruth, maybe if I'd had discovered the show while in high school, it would make much more sense. But now, in my early twenties, I'm interested in other type of shows, epsecially those that are closer to reality. But I think it was the only show I've watched where I just loved each of the main characters (I'm talking about the family); but maybe because the actors were all great. I don't dislike the show, it's just not my type.

I think people prefer to read an online story rather than download a PDF. It's up to you how you want to post it. Some of the posts are quite long, but 80 pages is probably too much. I'd break it into chapters and backdate them to keep it in order.

I'd personally just rather keep reading it on fanfiction.net. Once it's there I can get it on my computer however I like it better. Although I usually just read there.

I used to love My So Called Life, and found JOA very similar. You could do a fan fiction with jordan catalano becoming disabled and angela figuring out her attraction to him. Hmmm bored at work i may just do a bit of day dreaming....
Now i am thinking about it i wonder if it would be better for brian krakow to have an accident as i seem to remember they hooked up at the end or very nearly did and then you'd have the readjustment of angela and brian .
