i saw it but didnt watch it for long, brought back too many memories of my hospital days! and too be honest i found their antics a bit childish. the sport clips were cool though, even though a lot of it was bitching about the coaching

Jocks will be jocks will be jocks... maybe it is an American thing When I played wheelchair basketball we were competitive as a team but not as verbal and we are typically reserved brits

I can't believe Murderball didn't win the Oscar! WTF?!?! Yeah... I can't fucking believe the academy thinks penguins are more important than wheelchair sports....

I just checked the winners online. Now I'm interested to see those penguins - they have to be something really special...

I can't f*cking believe the academy thinks penguins are more important than wheelchair sports.... Bullshit, IMHO. The Academy loves to see ABs gimping it up, but real disabled people, ew, they'd rather see cute penguins in love. Furthermore, quads who want to die: Oscar. Quads who want to play sports: no Oscar. www.bbc.co.uk/ouch/columnists/tom/270206_index.shtml

It's not really about the Academy thinking penguins are more important than wheelchair sports, it's about the penguin movie being a better movie. Frankly, I agree with the academy. I didn't actually finish watching Murderball the other night. I just didn't find it that interesting. Also, as wylz said, jocks will be jocks. I can't honestly say I think that I'd find any movie about jocks that interesting. Wheelchairs or no. You can all lynch me now. (For the record, I though Million Dollar Baby blew, too. What was with Clint Eastwoods pants? He was wearing them up around his chin...)

V, I agree with you. Jocks don't interest me, chairs or no. Although I have to say, Chan's -E- sounds pretty interesting....

I couldn't believe how bad 'Million Dollar Baby' was; not for the reasons the disability activists hated it, but because it was like some hokey, corny 1940's film. How does a guy who made 'The Outlaw Josey Wales' and 'Unforgiven' sink to that level.
Hilary Swank looked pretty hot, tho...

V, I agree with you. Jocks don't interest me, chairs or no. Although I have to say, Chan's -E- sounds pretty interesting.... He is. But he's not a jock. He's played sports all his life, just without the jerky attitude and meatheadedness. That's why he's mine.
