I am also available to assist, help, beta-read, edit - or be a general nuisance ;-) so ladies please count me in on the editing team.

Lucretia, I actually had thought about that myself. That wouldn't necessarily be a bad idea. I can go ahead and create a gmail/google account, no problem. But how are we going to decide who will do what? I don't want some poor new author getting six editors all telling them what they need to fix on their story lol. That would be overwhelming, right? LOL There is Lee's idea about each beta taking a type of disability story, which could be a really tidy solution. That way a dev with an interest would be the one to beta that submission. You could do it arbitrarily as in a rotating first come, first served basis matched with the editors. You could do it by day of the week (Ximena takes the Monday submissions, for example). Submitters could request a certain person to beta, but that would be problematic due to scheduling issues. Conversely, all beta reading could also be anonymous. You could set an amount of time that the submissions sit before the beta reader begins, that way you can wait and see who submits, and then have a quick pm session back and forth between the editors where you decide who takes what. You could even, with the submitter's permission, workshop pieces as a group. There are a number of other ways, I'm sure, this could be successful. Perhaps after everyone weighs in and the editors are decided, you could set up a chat to organize it? Those are all good possible solutions. My main hesitation for doing the "disability specialization" is there are almost no stories for certain disabilities but a ton for say, paraplegia. So even if we tried to do it that way, it would end up being uneven. I'm all for "sitting down" in a group chat and discussing how we want to handle things, say, via skype?

As I said, I'll let you guys decide, but just a thought:
If you have a single email address, you can just log in when you have time and "claim" stories by replying to the request. That way, you won't end up editing a story you hate and you won't have to edit if you don't have time.
The only problem arises if nobody wants to edit a particular story. But this seems like an enthusiastic group.

OK, so if you want to be a beta reader, please PM me. It'll be easier than trying to sort thru the thread and I know at least one of you changed her mind.
