Well, it's not going to be anything earthshattering, sadly. I might just bring in Chris and Lily and see if people have any ideas for their continuation... and then I have that novel idea that I may or may not have shared with you. But that one is pretty much fully fleshed out, so...? This week is cray-zee. I got a promotion, and today was my first day, and... oh, hey, giant issue that sprang out of nowhere and will swamp everyone in the building for the next week. Good times, good times! But I'm still looking forward to the chat. Congrats on the promotion!! I doubt I'll be able to pull anything together in time for this chat. The one thing I would maybe do is my super-secret project but I really just came up with it a week ago so it's really not in workshopable condition... Maybe next time? |

So...with Lucretia poking a gun in my back I am here voluntarily help me! joining the ranks.  I don't have any material to contribute myself, but I'm happy to read any submissions. As far as the chat goes, I'd prefer to give my input using text/typing. I can follow people talking English, and I can think of answers quick enough, but it's quite the challenge to do that in a busy conversation AND think of making my points all at the same time. |

Max, welcome to the fray! I sent the invitation out to you. If you have any issues getting to the group site, please let me know.
Finally -- and sadly -- it looks like I won't be able to join the first group chat. I just found out today that I need to write a 5 page abstract for the PhD I am planning on applying for including a miniature literature review by next Friday. So I will most likely spend my entire weekend researching and writing that instead of participating in the workshop. I will definitely try for the next time around!

I'm so looking forward to this! I'm going to try to wrap up my IRL writer's group quickly so I can get back home for our workshop. Even so, I'm likely to be at least thirty minutes late or even longer  So I think I'll need to be workshopped last! |

I think all things being well I should be able to make Sunday's Skype chat. I have certainly been able to read "Blue Skies" and will happily offer my critique. I enjoyed it but believe I have some useful comments to make!

I'm all right with pushing it back a little. I do think it might be helpful for us to set a rough time frame for the whole workshop.

I could host the chat if necessary. But if so, I most likely will have to set a time limit. I guess I'd also need to make sure I had everyone's skype IDs and that I'm added as a contact.
