Might be interesting for the German-speaking devs: "Draussen in meinem Kopf" (Outside in my head) is playing in German cinemas now. It is a story about a guy with MD and his assistant. The main character is played by Samuel Koch who was a candidate on a German TV show 8 years ago. He wanted to demonstrate how he jumped over 5 moving cars with specially designed jumping boots. Well, he didn't quite make it and broke his neck in the live show, so he is now a complete quad. He graduated from acting school a few years later and is now a professional actor.
The film got shitty reviews with one reviewer calling it "disability death porn" - apparently he is mostly lying around in bed being sad and listening to classical music...
Here's the whole movie. I'm not sure though if it will work outside of Germany (please can someone let me know, so I can tell in advance the next time if I'm posting something from this particular TV station. www.zdf.de/filme/das-kleine-fernsehspiel/draussen-in-meinem-kopf-104.html

I found this today and watched it. Unfortunately again only in German: www.zdf.de/filme/spuren-des-boesen/spuren-des-boesen---sehnsucht-100.htmlIt’s about a policeman who was hit by a gunshot and is in a wheelchair. The only thing he does all day is basically spy on his neighbors. One day he watches a murder apparently. The movie is devy for about 2 minutes in total but it was an interesting criminal movie.

This Is Us introduced a new character tonight who is blind and totally hot. Even better, the actor is legally blind IRL too. I won’t spoil any other details, but definitely gave me dev feels. I may have watched some of those scenes a couple of times already... 😂

If This Is Us wasn't one of the best shows ever already and a personal favorite.... now they have a blind character and even played by a blind actor... and he's decently cute.... gahhhhhhhhhhh! They also made history by casting an actually visually impaired person on a major network show. WIN

Male lead is a blind lawyer Hope you guys like these drama/Movie I have checked the Korean drama “Dear my Friend” and was genuinely surprised how good and attractive the actor is. I also managed to find some clips which only have the parts about the relationship between the paraplegic character and the girl. It seems like him being paraplegic creates a lot of tension and unspoken awkwardness to their relationship. Unfortunately, the subtitles are not in English, but there there are also the entire episode on youtube with all English subtitles which you have to skip through others parts ,but the screen size has been minimized to the max. I’ll drop the link in here, there are 16 parts in total: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjZddb_NtPWtHLG_9oh5lSbf-dfu8Y_OBI found more info it seems like the girl dumped him after his accident, but they still keep in touch as a friend through skype or something since they live far apart. Interesting plot.

Thank you for the link! I think it was bear99 who put my feet on the path of Asian drama and I've been lost in this drama world ever since! I'm going to share some of the discoveries which might interest you. 1) Bangkok Rak Stories 2: Rueng Tee Koh features a story of a boy who goes blind on the eve when he meets the girl. It can be found on Netflix and the trailer is here: . There were too many secondary story lines to my taste but it had its sweet moments which touched my heart. 2) Inseparable Bros is a film about two men who had grown up together. One of them is mentally and the other physically handicapped. I haven't seen it with English subtitles and probably much was lost to me but it was still enjoyable. I especially loved the acting: it was incredible how much emotion can be expressed with facial expressions only. The whole film can be watched here: www4.dramacool.video/inseparable-bros-episode-1.html3) If you find a brilliant mind in a weak body sexy, then you could consider watching Nirvana in Fire. It is a Chinese historical drama (wuxia drama). The main character used to be a great warrior but his whole army was betrayed and he was poisoned. However, he returns with the plan to expose the betrayal, right the wrongs and help the righteous prince to the throne. The drama is long and has many characters, so that while watching the first five episodes I had the synopsis in Wikipedia open but it was worth the effort. The film focuses mostly on political affairs and the romance is touched upon fleetingly and this is what surprised me most: me, being a die-hard romance fan, being enchanted by and totally immersed in such a film - this shows how good this series was. I was really hooked until the end of it and shed many tears now and then... Later I found out that this film was a big sensation when it was released and there are even wax figures of the characters in Madame Tussaud's in Beijing (if this is a sign!). I couldn't find a proper trailer in English, so I'll post my favourite video instead: and the whole series can be viewed here: wwv.drama3s.to/watch/nirvana-in-fire-episode-1-724_11752.html4) I've just finished the drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, a South Korean historical drama. The drama features a young modern girl who time-travels into the past, to a court with many princes. One of them has had a traumatic past and is both ridiculed and feared due to his facial scar. His character is controversial and his actions sometimes disputable but as the film reveals the loveless aspects of his life, you start feeling sympathy and understanding. I think that the actor shows wonderfully the character's vulnerability under the rough exterior and managed to pull my heartstrings, especially during the first eight episodes. If you feel interested, then the trailer is here: and the whole series can be watched here: www4.dramacool.video/moon-lovers-scarlet-heart-ryeo-episode-1.html

I know it’s in that original movie list, but I first don’t have access to that and second, you might like to hear that this is another movie that’s available for free on YouTube. It’s in German.

This is a great topic, the thread is long, looks like lots can relate to movies. 😄 I looked up the person who started this thread, thinking i can learn more from her because she seems to know a lot, and she is so organized. But looks like she may left the group? I messaged her a while ago because I also would have loved to know if there’s a place where all these movies are stored or eventually are available as download, but she never answered. I also think she’s not active here anymore.
