So I've had pretty good luck using a free short story on Amazon to promote sales of my regular novels. Annabelle and I decided to promote her work by offering a free novel, Harvard Hottie (from the stories blog way back). I've formatted it and gotten it up on Smashwords and I'm waiting for it to go free on Amazon. (You can't set anything free on Amazon. You have to set it free at Smashwords, then wait for Amazon to price match it, so that can take a few weeks). Ohhh girl, I'll get on that, I have literally read that story over 10 times. It never gets old.
edit: do you have to buy it to write a review? I can only find the 'customer review' button, and it looks like you have to prove you bought the book.

That sounds like a story I would enjoy a lot! Dumb question for most of you probably, but I am a pretty new smartphone user and I have no idea which format I should download to best read the ebook on my smartphone screen (it has got a 5 inch display if that´s of any importance..). Can anyone help me with that? And thanks in advance Annabelle  |

I have an Android phone, and I use either Aldiko reader with epub format, or the Kindle for Android with mobi format. Both formats let you change the size of the characters, the margins and the color of the background. |

I don' think you have to have bought it. Tabby left a review without buying it (at least I'm pretty sure she didn't!) If you did buy it, the review will show up with some kind of statement that it is a confirmed purchase or something like that. Try clicking the button and let us know what happens.
I personally have people send me PDFs which I can open on my iPod Kindle app. I know there's a way to get .mobi on there, but I find it a lot easier and simpler to do PDF.

When I read Harvard Hottie long time ago... I loved it a lot!...
But, last time I wanted to post a review on Amazon, the site didnt let me because you have to be a buyer so... if nothing change, if you dont buy you cant review.
So sorry because the story worth a very good review!

You don't have to but the book to review it... I just posted my review and I did not purchase the book but did try the sample. Maybe you could try that in order to review the book on Amazon. PS: I think this is an apt post for my 200th post as I fell in love with all of the stories available on the site Thanks to all the authors for sharing your wonderful labour(s) of love!! I reviewed it on Amazon but only read it here. Was one of my favorites. Have bought a lot of books and kindle on Amazon though. Maybe thats the catch?

Yah, you have to have bought something on amazon, but not specifically that book. I have a kobo so I buy there... sorry, if there's anywhere else to review the book I shall!
