It always comes to that… did anyone think to have a one on one PM with the guy explaining to him what might be better for him to do and explaining why his posts might be viewed the way they did instead of trying to make themselves look good to the group. I swear, it's as though some of us never evolve past high school..

Nowadays it takes energy that I'm generally (there are rare exceptions) not willing to expend. Did you send him a mentor-like pm? ETA: I told my "kids" at an event a couple of weeks ago that life socially mimics high school, in a lot of ways.

Ok I'm ready to make some videos of me transferring and shopping, maybe doing the dishes and taking out the trash too! I can make some mean rice a roni too. Is quad cooking sexy? Where do I market these?! I think I need a dev to film me so she knows all the sexy maneuvers. Kinda kidding, but kinda not.

I don't think it's necessarily insecurity, just that behavioral and motivational patterns have begun to emerge as you move through pre-adulthood into early adulthood and then beyond.

Honestly it takes just as much energy if not more group shaming someone for their own amusements (or the amusement of others). It is what it is though, right? AND no I didn't send a PM because even though I agree with the perspective on where he was taking it (agree with what you all were saying.. There are just more expressive ways to do it… that would have taken the same amount of energy as group shaming)… it didn't bother me. The object of his affections is not wheeler dudes. And honestly it was just awkward (what he was saying)… so I thought THAT was its own punishment.. Sometimes silence is more telling, productive and effective then group shaming someone. BUT to each their own… you guys make this board what it is with that. The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. -Mark Twain

And the "to each their own" part is part of the reason that I don't post and share as much here any more. Which is cool, there is a time and season for everything and everyone.

It's really not that serious. I feel like some of you guys are jumping this poor guys shit just for asking, what he thought, were some innocent questions. No one died over some words, so it would be nice if some of you ladies calmed your tits, you're going to run people off with your snarky and holier than though attitudes.

*In a state with agitated tits in high school* LOL Seriously though, I do not think that we are in teenage highschool here. We are having an adult conversation and it is done respectfully and with a mentoring/educating purpose. "Public shaming" (re: Feetgearsnrotor) has happened here from time to time, but notice that in this thread it is not about name-calling or yelling "idiot" at someone. Aseida13 was told a bit about devotees. If he is wise, he will take it as a learning experience and listen, as Matisse said. ******** All that aside, yes, I am sure that many devotees would like videos featuring disabled guys doing everyday stuff. We like the movements, the positioning in the chair, the transfers, and we also like disabled guys telling about their daily lives, their interests, how they go about doing things and much more.

I would be more than interested in seeing everyday things from wheeler guys as well as not so everyday things as well...
