I was wondering if playing around with SIMS is any fun. Does anyone here use them? I have done a little bit of research and it seems that, to date, there haven't been any disabled characters or functions to make disabled characters but that SIMs 4 might have and that comes out in Sept. On youtube someone has done a story where a guy uses crutches but he walks normally with them. I wondered if they are complicated to use, whether it would take twenty years to get it to yield to my will. Just looks like it could have some possibilities.

I didn't know there might be going to be disabled characters possible in Sims 4. I read that they didn't allow this in Sims 3 because it would have been too complicated as the whole interaction is designed for Sims who can stand up and walk around.

I've played The Sims for years. I love the game (Sims 2 is my favorite. I didn't care for Sims 3 at all).
I think the way they have set up the template means its not possible for Sims to be disabled. Like MaurIne said. Even all the Sims of each age are the same height. I don't know if they are very motivated to work on changing that.
There was a dining room chair modification for Sims 2 that made a wheelchair. It didn't function within the game (all you could do was sit on it), but I used it for some videos.

Thanks Ruth, I think I will wait for Sims4 as it is only a month away and give it a shot. I saw someone had done a trailer for Fifty Shades of Grey and thought that was cool.

I look forward to hearing how you like it! I was so disappointed with Sims 3 that I won't be running out to buy Sims 4 until I can hear more from people I know how they like it.

I've tried Secondlife a few times and I can just never get into it. I don't know why!

I tried the daz3D software but it was hard to get started and I'm too lazy to search the web for free clothes to dress the models in. You could buy crutches, but there was no proper wheelchair to buy, and I only found this free one that I couldn't edit. This is how far I got: Attachment Deleted

I like to play Sims sometimes, and I've also thought that it would be cool to have disabilities in the game, although I understand that it would probably be hard to include.
(Has anyone played the Sims 4 yet? It honestly doesn't seem all that exciting to me compared to the other ones)
