midwestguy what a great pic! I've been getting back into kayaking since I moved closer to the water and didn't even think about looking into adaptive kayaking in the area. Great idea lol Please do! And let us know how it goes

Adaptive kayaking, I'm in the red boat, a volunteer is next to me. Trust me devs when I tell you this is the BEST way to meet PWDs. There are adaptive sports programs all over the world and they are always looking for volunteers (No one will ask what your motives are or why you want to help). If you are in the US you can find programs in 43 states at moveunitedsport.orgAnd once you are a volunteer here's a pro tip: After you've helped an attractive PWD get setup in the adaptive equipment for that sport, say "Would you like me to take your pic? I can text it to you." And BOOM you've got their number, now you just have to work that into a date This post is just chock full of amazing advice - an absolutely gorgeous looking day on the water too 😍

When I listen to metal music by Lamb of God and similar artists, I can't headbang, but I can jawbang to the rhythm and heavy bass lol. Of course, I'm not doing that here haha. Somebody posted the following at the image hosting website where this picture was uploaded: "He forever sits upon a metallic throne, mysterious machines breathe life into him and convey him over the earth. He is definitely metal."

I have a kayak that I got with a seat in it that has some dump and a backrest. I’m planning to cut some foam to jam between my legs and the boat in order to keep them in place. And I think I will strap myself to the seat. Even though I am T-12, I am super long and half my abs were destroyed (burned). So in kayaks, I have a tendency to slide down farther in the boat and it’s super annoying.

I love to float the river or paddle across a lake.

The back support includes laterals and looks like the one on this page. www.creatingability.com/seating-systems/The kayaking I'm in also has outriggers, I wouldn't go out without them. I have really long legs as well but I've never had a problem with them moving around or sliding down into the boat.

This is my hobby, drag racing. It's also my nonprofit that will get other people with disabilities down the racetrack with me, just have to slow the truck down a lot.

I did kayaking this week in the ocean (sound). I used an outrigger because I hate flipping. Just got a cheap inflatable one. It really helped, especially because some of the water was pretty choppy! I had a seat that has some dump in it, so it prevented me from sliding down and I could stay upright. Attachments:
